Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba agreed to a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension on Monday, March 23, that makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver.
Huddle Up: JSN was the WR2 in fantasy just behind Puka Nacua with a 119-1,793-10 line. Smith-Njigba solidified himself as an elite receiver capable of running any route and going up and getting contested balls. He's only 24 years old and should only continue to blossom. However, his draft stock has never been higher, which attaches some risk after the team lost RB Kenneth Walker III in free agency. He'll be an elite option in the top half of the first round of fantasy drafts.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had his fifth-year option picked up, the team announced Friday, March 20.
Huddle Up: Coming off a year when he led the NFL in receiving yards, it is no surprise that Seattle decided to pick up Smith-Njigba's option. The Seahawks have already announced plans to try to extend the receiver, and he should remain one of the elite fantasy options at the position for 2026.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba will reportedly be a candidate for a contract extension this offseason, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson on Monday, Feb. 23.
Huddle Up: Smith-Njigba hit the ground running in 2025 and never looked back as he dominated fantasy football in historical fashion. With a league-leading 1,793 yards, 119 receptions and 10 touchdowns, JSN averaged 21.2 fantasy points per game and broke out in his third NFL season. As a locked-in first-round pick going in 2026 and helping lead Seattle to a Super Bowl victory, Smith-Njigba may be handsomely rewarded this offseason with a contract extension. JSN will be one of the first half-dozen or so players off the board at the beginning of fantasy drafts in 2026.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba said that he is not concerned about finalizing a contract extension immediately but added that he would like to be the NFL's highest-paid wide receiver whenever a deal is completed.
Huddle Up: The 24-year-old Smith-Njigba had a breakout season in 2025, with 119 receptions for 1,793 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a member of the Super Bowl champions. He is entering the final season of his rookie contract, with a fifth-year option available as well, and could force the team's hand into giving him a lucrative deal to remain in Seattle. Smith-Njigba should be one of the first wide receivers taken in all 2026 fantasy drafts.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba landing an extension is one of the team's priorities this offseason.
Huddle Up: After a monstrous 119-1,793-10 season, only Puka Nacua was better than JSN in fantasy in 2025. He's entering the last year of his rookie contract, with a fifth-year option available as well, and he could force the team's hand into a new deal. He just turned 24, and he'll be a top-five option at the position to target in drafts.
