Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith's three-year, $105 million contract includes a $26.1 million signing bonus and base salaries of $1.2 million in 2023, $12.7 million in 2024 and $14.8 million in 2025. Smith has a roster bonus of $9.6 million in 2024 and $10 million in 2025, and a $200,000 workout bonus for each year of the contract. The veteran quarterback also receives an incentive of $2 million each in 2023 and 2024 for 4,282 yards passing, 30 or more touchdown passes, a completion percentage of at least 69.755, a QB rating of 100.84 and 10 wins or a playoff berth.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith agreed to a new multi-year contract with the Seahawks Monday, March 6, according to sources. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Smith is coming off a successful 2022 season and should be the starter for the Seahawks over the next few years. He can be a low-end No. 1 or high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks impending free-agent QB Geno Smith said he has started contract talks with the Seahawks and is happy with the progress the two sides are making.
Huddle Up: It seems likely that Smith will be the starting quarterback for the Seahawks next season. He posted very good numbers this past season but may only be a low-end No. 1 quarterback or high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues in 2023.

Seattle Seahawks impending free-agent QB Geno Smith is a player the Seahawks would like to re-sign this offseason, according to general manager John Schneider.
Huddle Up: Smith was one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL this season and ranked in the top 10 in both passing yards (4,282) and passing touchdowns (30). He probably can be Seattle's quarterback for several more years if they can reach an agreement and can be a low-end No. 1 or a high-end No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith and the team have started preliminary discussions regarding a contract extension, according to head coach Pete Carroll during his weekly interview with 710 ESPN Seattle.
Huddle Up: Smith led the league with a 69.8 percent completion rate and threw for 4,282 yards with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, providing Seattle with a much-smoother-than-expected transition from Russell Wilson. The Seahawks could theoretically select a quarterback with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but it is very possible the top prospects at the position (Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud) will be gone by that point. Expect Smith to remain Seattle's quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith completed 25-of-35 passes for 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He also added four carries for 28 rushing yards.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith is expected to return in 2023, and if the two sides can't agree on a new deal, the team will consider using the franchise tag, which would cost around $30 million, per source on Saturday, Jan. 14.
Huddle Up: Smith put together a Pro Bowl season and led Seattle to an improbable playoff run after serving as a backup since 2015. Smith finished the year as QB5 overall but will enter next season on the higher end of the QB2 spectrum after a lackluster finish to the regular season. He should be held in dynasty formats.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith faces the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round, and Smith averaged 217.5 passing yards in two games against the 49ers this season, as opposed to 256.5 passing yards per game against all other opponents.
Huddle Up: Smith only threw one touchdown pass in the two meetings with the 49ers, and the Seahawks averaged just 10.0 points per game. For those playing DFS or other playoff contests, you may want to look elsewhere for a sleeper at the quarterback spot.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith completed 19-of-31 passes for 213 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Rams, and he rushed four times for 51 yards. Smith broke the franchise record for single-season passing yards with 4,282 yards.
Huddle Up: After bouncing around as a backup the past six seasons, Smith took advantage of his second chance to be a starter, completing 69.8% of his pass attempts for a career-best 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in the regular season. He might get a chance at a playoff spot, too, and he would be a decent option in fantasy postseason pools and DFS, should the Seahawks qualify.
