Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry rushed 18 times for 84 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders, while posting a 12-yard reception on his only target.
Huddle Up: That's two games and two touchdowns for Henry. He was much more productive, from a yardage perspective, in this one, too. He might not necessarily be a bona fide RB1 week in and week out, but he remains a fantasy must-start in all formats. He'll look to keep up the scoring ways in Week 3 at Dallas.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry rushed for 46 yards in Week 1, but he has been held under 50 rushing yards in consecutive games just three times since 2019.
Huddle Up: With Lamar Jackson driving the Baltimore offense, Henry isn't going to be the workhorse that he was in his time with Tennessee. He should still have his share of strong performances, but fantasy owners will have to accept a few duds along the way.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry wasn't brought in to get 30 carries per game, head coach John Harbaugh said on Monday, Sept. 9. "We didn't bring Derrick in here to be the guy that gets the ball 30 times a game," Harbaugh said. "He's done that before. That's really not the plan. The plan is Derrick, Lamar, Mark (Andrews), Isaiah (Likely), Zay (Flowers), Bate (Rashod Bateman) and Nelly (Nelson Agholor). That's kind of the plan in this offense going forward."
Huddle Up: Henry wasn't necessarily expected to get the kinds of massive workloads he got in Tennessee, if for no other reason than Lamar Jackson takes a lot of carries himself, as he did in Week 1. The biggest concern for Henry was his lack of involvement on passing downs, which makes him reliant on game script to get a big workload. Henry remains a borderline RB1, but that will change if he proves to be touchdown-dependent.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry will not play in any of the preseason games, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Henry does not need to play in the preseason and will be ready for a big workload when the season starts. He continues to be a top running back in the NFL and will be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is attempting to become just the fourth running back in the past decade to rush for 1,000 yards in the NFL at the age of 30 or older, joining retired RBs Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore, and current Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert.
Huddle Up: The Ravens certainly paid Henry like they expect him to contribute that kind of yardage, and he rushed for 1,167 yards last season in a lesser offense. Even at age 30 and with a lot of mileage, Henry remains a solid RB2 with top-10 upside.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is viewed as a "closer" by offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who said that if Henry "carries it 300 times" in 2024, then the team would be "having a helluva year." He also noted the importance of keeping Henry healthy over the course of the season.
Huddle Up: At 30 years of age and with 2,000-plus carries on his odometer, Henry is a bit of a risk, no matter what role Monken envisions for the veteran. He's a nonfactor in the passing game, and with the Ravens hoping to play into late January at least, they might choose to save some of Henry's bullets for a postseason run. Still, he's worthy of consideration as a possible high-end RB2.

Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said there is a "strong chance" that the team will select a running back in the 2024 NFL Draft. He believes a lot of backs will be chosen between the third and fifth rounds and said that the Ravens have looked at a lot of the players projected to be drafted during those rounds. RBs Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell are currently the top three players on Baltimore's depth chart at the position.

RB Derrick Henry said that the Dallas Cowboys never reached out to him during free agency this offseason before he signed with the Baltimore Ravens, according to an interview he did with Adam Schein on the "Schein on Sports" show on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Radio. Henry makes his offseason home in Dallas and the Cowboys had been rumored to have interest in acquiring him from the Tennessee Titans before the 2023 NFL trade deadline.
