Buffalo Bills RB Leonard Fournette could potentially make this team debut this week, according to comments made on Friday, Nov. 17, by head coach Sean McDermott. "If (he's not activated from the practice squad) this week, then certainly in the weeks ahead, it's going to be a big-time consideration for us," McDermott said.
Huddle Up: Fournette was signed to the practice squad on Oct. 31, so the time should be nearing for the Bills to start using him if that was the plan a few weeks ago. Buffalo has had a fair amount of success running the ball this season - averaging 4.6 yards per carry as a team - but the commitment to stick with it has often been lacking. The reason Fournette could be attractive to fantasy managers is because he is very good as a receiver and Buffalo has not shown a great deal of commitment to James Cook. Deep-league managers should continue to stash in hopes that he takes over the lead job at some point in early December.

Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Buccaneers) is expected to sign with the Buffalo Bills, pending a physical, according to sources Monday, Oct. 30.
Huddle Up: There has been some interest from Buffalo in signing Fournette. With James Cook leading the backfield, it isn't clear what the split would look like if and when Fournette signs his deal. He could take away some early-down and short-yardage work so this will be something managers need to keep an eye on.

Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Buccaneers) is working out for the New England Patriots on Wednesday, July 19, per sources.
Huddle Up: Fournette was not good on the ground last year, totaling 668 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games, while also averaging a measly 3.5 yards per carry. It is worth noting the team around him stunk. He was an impact player through the air, though, tallying career-bests in catches (73) and receiving yards (523). Even still, it's doubtful he'd get that much action through the air with the Pats to be a consistent lineup option. Also, he'd be no better than the No. 2 behind Rhamondre Stevenson and would also have to compete with Pierre Strong for looks. If he ends up in New England, consider him a handcuff and someone to take a late-round flyer on at best until he proves worthy.

Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Buccaneers) was involved in an incident where his car caught fire June 27. Witnesses say Fournette was racing a motorcyclist on the highway. Florida Highway Patrol didn't have enough information to proceed.
Huddle Up: It doesn't appear Fournette was hurt in what seems like a scary incident. He still has a place on fantasy rosters once he lands with a new team.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Leonard Fournette was officially released Wednesday, March 15.
Huddle Up: Fournette was not released with a post-June 1 designation. Despite how productive he was in his time with the Buccaneers, Fournette will likely have to wait a bit for his market to pick up. There is no question he was a favorite of Tom Brady, so perhaps another veteran quarterback with some clout will ask for his services down the road. As for now, the 28-year-old's fantasy stock appears to be in serious freefall.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Leonard Fournette is expected to be released when the new league year starts on March 15, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Buccaneers have a ton of work to do to get under the salary cap (they are roughly $56 million over the cap), so it only makes sense they would look to part with a 28-year-old running back on what figures to be a rebuilding team in 2023. Fournette is still very much a capable back in the league, but he is unlikely to be the fantasy force he was at times with Tom Brady. Rachaad White figures to take over as the starter in Tampa Bay, although his fantasy stock also takes a hit without Brady around.
