Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is not expected to undergo offseason surgery on his right elbow and will instead opt to rest, according to comments from general manager Brandon Beane on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Huddle Up: Allen suggested Monday that his mechanics and throwing motion were affected by the Week 9 injury until the end of the regular season. Considering he seems to be pain-free right now - he told reporters he is back to his old mechanics and throwing motion Monday - he should be in great shape for the offseason and training camp. Allen figures to be the top quarterback off fantasy draft boards in most leagues again this offseason.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) said he has been told that he likely will not need surgery on his injured elbow this offseason.
Huddle Up: Allen may not participate in all of the offseason workouts but should be fine for the start of training camp. He is still one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and will be a No. 1 quarterback in all leagues next season.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) told reporters Monday, Jan. 23, that it was not until two weeks ago that he was able to get back to the mechanics and throwing motion he likes due to the right elbow injury he suffered in Week 9 versus the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: There was some thought a month or so ago that Allen's recent turnover woes were the product of his elbow injury, but that notion seemed to be refuted by the fact that his regular-season production in 2022 was nearly identical to his numbers from 2021. If we take Allen at his word and his elbow is feeling good now, it should be a complete non-issue by the time OTAs start this spring. Allen figures to be the first quarterback off the board in fantasy drafts quite often again in 2023.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) practiced in full Friday, Jan. 20, and does not appear on the injury report for the AFC Divisional Round game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Jan. 22.
Huddle Up: Allen never missed a game after suffering his midseason elbow injury and he is not about to miss one because of it now. There is no way to know for sure if the injury has contributed to his occasional rough performance as a passer, but it seems unlikely given how similar his 2021 and 2022 regular-season production was across the board. He is a great bet to be the most productive fantasy quarterback this weekend.

QB Josh Allen (elbow), CB Dane Jackson (knee), CB Cam Lewis (forearm), WR Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) and S Jordan Poyer (knee, rest) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.
