Week 8 vs IND

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz ended up with four receptions for 52 yards on six targets in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Huddle Up: Schultz fared well against an Indianapolis defense which struggles against tight ends. Schultz has been a little erratic, and he is more of a TE2 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. He and the Texans face a tough matchup in Week 9 against the New York Jets.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz caught one pass for 28 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7. He was targeted two times during the game.
Huddle Up: The Texans did not have much success in the passing game, so Schultz's 28 led the team this week. He should see a few more targets next week and could be a possible low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz caught four passes for 27 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 6. He was targeted eight times during the game.
Huddle Up: Schultz has been targeted at five times in each of the last four games but has been held to under 35 yards in each of those games. He should see a handful of targets next week but can be benched in fantasy leagues if players have better options available.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz was fined $11,255 by the National Football League for committing unsportsmanlike conduct and taunting in Week 5's game, when he rolled the ball towards a Buffalo Bills player following a play.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz caught four passes for 34 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 5. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: Schultz tied his season high for receiving yards this week but has not been a big factor in any of the games this season. He should see a decent amount of targets again next week but probably will only be a possible starting option in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz caught three of his five targets for 34 yards in a 24-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4.
Huddle Up: Schultz had his most productive game of the season to date, but that isn't saying much. He continues to remain a minimal part of the passing game, and even as a streaming option, he is a reach.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day on Friday, Sept. 27, and has no designation for Week 4.
Huddle Up: The Texans won't have Tank Dell (chest), who was ruled out for Week 4. That could mean more targets for Schultz, putting him on the TE2 radar.

Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (chest), RB Dameon Pierce (hamstring) and S Jimmie Ward (groin) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 27, and have been ruled out for Week 4. Also, DL Folorunso Fatukasi (shoulder) and RB Joe Mixon (ankle) were limited and are questionable, and WR Nico Collins (hamstring), OG Kenyon Green (illness), OL Jarrett Patterson (calf) and TE Dalton Schultz (ankle) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 26.
Huddle Up: Schultz likely will receive a few targets in the passing game this week but probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Huddle Up: Schultz is off to a slow start to the season with only 48 yards in three games. The wide receivers are receiving most of the targets in the passing game, so fantasy players may want to look for other options and avoid Schultz until he is more involved in the passing game.
