Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a torn anterior cruciate ligament Friday, Sept. 10.
Huddle Up: With Edwards done for the year, fullback Parick Ricard (one rushing attempt) is the only returning non-quarterback left from last season's backfield who carried the ball for the Ravens in 2020. Edwards' injury sets the stage for preseason standout Ty'Son Williams to make the start in Week 1 versus the Las Vegas Raiders on the Monday night stage. It would come as little surprise if Williams holds off aging newcomers Le'Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray for the right to serve as the team's 1A back this season.

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 9.
Huddle Up: Edwards may have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during practice Thursday and probably will miss the entire season if it is confirmed. Ty'Son Williams will take over the starting job while Edwards is sidelined, and Le'Veon Bell should also see time at running back. Fantasy players should consider adding Williams and Bell if available.

Huddle Up: The Ravens will be without their top two running backs if it is confirmed that Edwards has a torn ACL. Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards has averaged more than five yards per carry in each of his first three seasons.
Huddle Up: Edwards was already a RB3 candidate before the injury to J.K. Dobbins, and now one of the most efficient backs is set for an increased workload. He should be no worse than a high-floor RB2 in Baltimore's powerful running attack.
