Pittsburgh, according to sources, is expected to pursue CB Nate Hobbs (Raiders), who has a connection to the Steelers in defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander. CBs Charvarius Ward (49ers), D.J. Reed (Jets), and CB Carlton Davis (Lions) were discussed as possible options. CB Donte Jackson (Steelers) also could return to the team.

CB Charvarius Ward (non-injury) did not practice but is not on the injury report. CB Deommodore Lenoir (knee), DT Jordan Elliott (concussion), DE Sam Okuayinonu (wrist), OG Dominick Puni (shoulder) and DE Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.
