Buffalo Bills WR Leonard Hankerson was released Monday, Aug. 15, according to sources.

Huddle Up: This comes as no surprise. Hankerson was dreadful in the Bills first preseason game. He caught 1-of-5 targets and had three drops. Hankerson is running out of chances in the NFL.

Buffalo Bills WR Leonard Hankerson worked with the first-team offense, working with QB Tyrod Taylor Tuesday, June 14. He impressed in drills, and could gain the trust of Taylor going into the summer.

Huddle Up: It's conceivable that Hankerson could push his way into a secondary role among Buffalo's receivers, but this is still a run-first team and Sammy Watkins is still the unquestioned WR1 so Hank's fantasy upside is limited.

Buffalo Bills WR Leonard Hankerson will be one of several receivers in the mix for the No. 3 receiver spot in 2016, and beat writer Tyler Dunne believes having a full year to learn the offense will help Hankerson.

Huddle Up: Even if Hankerson emerges as the clear No. 3 WR option, keep in mind that he might be no better than the No. 4 or 5 pass-catching option in an offense which threw on a league-low 49.9 percent of its plays a season ago.

Buffalo Bills WR Leonard Hankerson re-signed to a one-year deal Thursday, March 24. Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.

Huddle Up: Hankerson got off to a solid start last season in Atlanta before getting derailed by a hammy injury, and he now adds depth to a Buffalo WR corps which recently lost Chris Hogan to the Patriots. Hankerson, though, won't be a fantasy factor in the majority of leagues.

Free-agents WRs Leonard Hankerson (Falcons) and OT LaAdrian Waddle (Lions) were claimed by the New England Patriots Wednesday, Dec. 16, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Any wideout in the Patriots' system is of fantasy interest, but it's obviously going to take Hankerson a few weeks to get up to speed so don't count on any immediate fantasy-usable contributions.

Huddle Up: Hankerson was just unable to shake the hammy injury after a fast start, and the Falcons now welcome back the 33-year-old Hester who caught 38 passes for 504 yards and a two TDs a season ago. TE Jacob Tamme will also continue to see more targets with Hankerson done for the season.

Atlanta Falcons WR Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) will play Sunday, Nov. 22, against the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

Huddle Up: Hankerson, who had 22 catches for 291 yards and two TDs in the Falcons' first six games, last played in Week 7, and his return will give Matt Ryan another weapon and likely steal some the big target numbers of late away from TE Jacob Tamme.
