New York Giants RB Dion Lewis finished with two receptions for eight yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he did not have a carry.

Huddle Up: The touchdown was great, but two total touches isn't going to cut it for fantasy owners. Wayne Gallman led the backfield with 13 total touches and newcomer Alfred Morris has eight rushes, so that's not good for Lewis, even with Devonta Freeman inactive. Avoid Lewis in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues heading into Week 9 in Washington.

New York Giants RB Dion Lewis ran once for 10 yards and he added two receptions for eight yards on three targets in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Lewis was behind both Devonta Freeman and Wayne Gallman in the tailback pecking order in this one, and that's not good for his short-term fantasy appeal. He can be safely dropped outside of the deepest PPR formats heading into Week 5.

New York Giants RB Devonta Freeman is expected to be the starting running back for the Giants in Week 4. RB Dion Lewis is expected to be used on passing downs, while RB Wayne Gallman will see a few touches.

Huddle Up: Freeman received only five carries last week but should be more involved after a week of practices. Fantasy players should consider keep Freeman on the bench this week and see how he performs with a bigger workload.

New York Giants RB Dion Lewis rushed for zero yards on one carry against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. He also caught one pass for 10 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: Lewis was expected to receive a majority of the work with Saquon Barkley out for the season but finished with only two touches. Devonta Freeman likely will lead the team in carries moving forward, which will hurt Lewis' value. He can be benched next week against the Los Angeles Rams.

New York Giants head coach Joe Judge was asked Thursday, Sept. 24, what his plan will be if one of his three running backs, Dion Lewis, Wayne Gallman or Devonta Freeman, gets 'hot' in a game. 'He may be the guy for that moment. He may be the guy for that game,' Judge said, adding that the plan will to be use each of them, each week, depending on the game plan.

Huddle Up: Lewis and Gallman -- likely in that order -- are the best fantasy flex bets for this week as they know the offense, but Freeman looks better for the long haul.

New York Giants RB Dion Lewis ran 10 times for 20 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears and he added four catches for 36 yards on five targets.

Huddle Up: Lewis is expected to be the primary ball carrier after starter Saquon Barkley suffered a suspected torn ACL, and is expected to miss the rest of the season. Lewis is worth grabbing if you need an emergency fantasy replacement.
