Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) is not expected to play for the remainder of the 2024 season, per sources on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Huddle Up: Brown suffered the injury catching a pass in preseason Week 1. There remains a chance he could be back for the NFL postseason, but that does fantasy owners no good. He can be dropped in redraft leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Sept. 13.
Huddle Up: Brown is expected to miss an extended period of time because of the injury and probably can be dropped in fantasy leagues. Xavier Worthy is coming off a terrific Week 1 performance and should have a good role in the offense with Brown sidelined. Worthy could be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (chest) will need "months not weeks" to recover from his upcoming surgery to repair a dislocated sternoclavicular joint, according to head coach Andy Reid on Friday, Sept. 13.
Huddle Up: While there is no guarantee Brown will miss the rest of the season, it would appear managers should not expect him back before the fantasy playoffs - if even then. This news locks in Xavier Worthy as a full-time option and a solid weekly WR3 option with huge upside.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint and is expected to go on the Reserve/Injured list, according to sources Friday, Sept. 13.
Huddle Up: It's unclear what the timeline is for Brown's return, but this solidifies the values of Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy as starting assets with high upside in all formats.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) is not practicing Thursday, Sept. 12.
Huddle Up: It seems Brown is trending toward missing another game so managers will need to prepare for a pivot option in Week 2.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 11, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Huddle Up: There was some optimism that Brown would be able to play in Week 2, but he is not off to a good start after sitting Wednesday. Fantasy players will know about his status later in the week but may want to consider other options for their lineups this week.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) is heading in the right direction in his recovery and has a chance to play in Week 2, head coach Andy Reid said on Monday, Sept. 9.
Huddle Up: Even if he plays, the Chiefs might ease Brown in and not give him a full complement of snaps. Adding to that, he has to compete for targets with Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelce and others. Brown is best left on the bench until we see him produce.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) is expected to return to practice next week and may be available for the Week 2 game.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation next week to see if Brown will be able to play. He should have a decent role in the passing game once he is cleared to play and could be at least a flex option in some fantasy leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Marquise Brown (shoulder) did not practice once again on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and has officially been ruled out for Week 1.
Huddle Up: Now, the attention turns to Week 2 to see if Brown will make his debut. The fact that the Chiefs didn't put him on injured reserve means they expect him back by or before Week 4. Rashee Rice receives a slight bump and is a WR2, but it's hard to trust any other Chiefs receivers.
