Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin is "not happy with where things are with an extension," according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: McLaurin has been a safe bet for around 80 catches and 1,000 yards for the last five seasons, and he exploded for 13 touchdowns in his first year with Jayden Daniels under center. While it won't be ideal if McLaurin extends his holdout into training camp, he should remain a WR2 as long as he ultimately takes the field when the season begins.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin has not made much progress in contract extension talks with the Commanders at this point, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation because there is a chance that McLaurin holds out of training camp if he does not receive a new contract. He is a weekly starting option in all leagues when he plays but is a bit of a risk at this point because of his contract situation.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin missed some of the offseason practices because of his contract situation, and the two sides are still believed to have a lot of work to do before they can reach an agreement on an extension, according to SI.com's Albert Breer.
Huddle Up: The two sides have around a month before the start of training camp to work on a contract, so fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation. He is the main option in the passing game for the Commanders and is a weekly starting option in all leagues when he plays.

The Washington Commanders reportedly would like for WR Terry McLaurin to remain with the organization for the rest of his career. He is entering the final season of his current contract and has been frustrated with the deliberate pace of contract extension talks, choosing to skip the team's mandatory minicamp last week.
Huddle Up: According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, McLaurin is likely to command more than $30 million annually, based on what other top NFL receivers have earned in other recent extension negotiations. He is coming off a solid 2024 campaign where he caught 82 passes for 1,094 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns and should be a starting option in all fantasy formats once he returns to the field.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin did not report to mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 10, and is not expected to do so before it ends on Thursday, June 12.
Huddle Up: Head coach Dan Quinn stated "the good news is lots of rapport has been built." McLaurin is subjecting himself to fines as he postures for a contract extension this summer, so his wallet will take a bit of a hit this summer. Expect Washington to get something done with McLaurin before the start of training camp. When it happens, fantasy managers can feel good about getting another strong WR2 season out of him.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin has not participated in voluntary workouts after initially attending them and made it clear that he is frustrated with the lack of progress toward a long-term deal, according to sources.
Huddle Up: McLaurin is entering the final year of his contract and coming off a career year. While contracts are supposed to pay a player for what he will do and not for what he has done, McLaurin has more than earned long-term security - despite entering his age-30 season - with at least 77 catches and 1,000 receiving yards in five straight seasons with very little good quarterback play (the 2024 season notwithstanding). Expect something to get done soon enough, although it is a storyline fantasy managers should monitor throughout the summer.

Huddle Up: McLaurin has skipped all of the voluntary workouts but probably will be on the field for the mandatory minicamp. He is entering the last year of his contract and likely is looking for a new contract. He will be the main receiver for the Commanders again this upcoming season and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues.
