Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson will likely be "given ownership of the offense," in the opinion of an AFC personnel evaluator. "I think you'll see a rejuvenated Russ (with the Broncos). They are tailoring things around him. He'll have more ownership of the offense and a good supporting cast," the unnamed personnel evaluator told ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: The Broncos surrendered two first-round picks, two second-round picks and three players in addition to another Day 3 pick in order to nab Wilson, so it seems fairly obvious this would be the case. The difference from Seattle to Denver is that he will be playing for an offensive-minded coach who doesn't figure to be nearly as stubborn establishing the run as the Seahawks were during Wilson's time with the organization. Wilson is a very good mid-level QB1 fantasy selection with overall QB1 upside in 2022.

Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson's average throw depth was 9.3 yards in 2021 as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, according to Sports Info Solutions. That was the highest mark among NFL quarterbacks with at least 200 drop-backs last season.
Huddle Up: It stands to reason that Wilson threw the ball a bit deeper last season given his personnel - most notably D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. However, he may match or exceed that mark in Denver this season considering Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick and K.J. Hamler can all stretch the field. Fantasy managers should not be surprised if Wilson pushes for a top-five finish at his position.

Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson has not started contract extension talks with the Broncos at this point, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Broncos traded multiple draft picks for Wilson, so the two sides should reach a long-term extension at some point. He will have a good group of receivers to work with next season and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was officially traded to the Denver Broncos Wednesday, March 16, in exchange for TE Noah Fant, QB Drew Lock, DT Shelby Harris, a 2022 first-round draft choice, a 2023 first-round draft choice, a 2022 second-round draft choice, a 2023 second-round draft choice and a 2022 fifth-round draft choice. The Broncos will also receive a fourth-round draft choice in the trade.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was officially acquired by the Denver Broncos Wednesday, March 16, in exchange for TE Noah Fant, QB Drew Lock, DT Shelby Harris, a 2022 first-round draft choice, a 2023 first-round draft choice, a 2022 second-round draft choice, a 2023 second-round draft choice and a 2022 fifth-round draft choice. The Broncos will also receive a fourth-round draft choice in the trade.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson will reportedly be traded to the Denver Broncos along with a fourth-round pick in exchange for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, QB Drew Lock and two other players Tuesday, March 8, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. The other two players in the deal are expected to be TE Noah Fant and DT Shelby Harris. The two teams have agreed to terms of the trade, but the trade is pending a physical and Wilson's approval.
Huddle Up: It is hard to fault the Seahawks for pulling the trigger on trading their 33-year-old quarterback away, especially if Fant ends up being the third player in the deal as it is being reported. It was just last spring when Wilson and the team were at odds with each other. The Seahawks figure to get the Broncos' No. 9 overall pick in this draft as part of the deal, which could easily end up being Malik Willis or Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett. Regardless of whom Seattle chooses to replace Wilson, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett go from top 10 and top 20 options, respectively, at their position to potential WR3s.

Huddle Up: Per reports, Denver and Seattle have been in negotiations for weeks. The timing of this suggests the Broncos were waiting for official word on Aaron Rodgers to make his decision. As it turns out, Denver gets a quarterback about five years younger than Rodgers. The arrival of Wilson should send the fantasy values of Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton through the roof. At the very least, the Broncos finally have their best option under center since Peyton Manning. Wilson should boast top-five upside at his position in fantasy once again as a result of this move.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is 'the expected next attempt' at an elite NFL quarterback for the Denver Broncos after Aaron Rodgers decided to remain with the Green Bay Packers, according to 9News' Mike Klis.
Huddle Up: The Washington Commanders reportedly made a very generous offer to the Seahawks for Wilson recently and were turned down. One would imagine the Broncos would suffer the same fate if they try. Assuming if/when that happens, Denver will eventually turn its attention to Jimmy Garoppolo (similar offense) or Jordan Love (familiarity with new head coach Nathaniel Hackett) if it wants a veteran under center. The Broncos also could go with someone like Liberty's Malik Willis or Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett with the ninth overall pick in April's draft.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was pursued by the Washington Commanders, but Seattle declined the offer even though the Commanders offered multiple first-round draft choices in their proposal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Washington will have a new starting quarterback in 2022, but it seems like it will not be Wilson. Fantasy players should consider the Commanders' starter as a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was a trade target for the Washington Commanders, but the Seahawks rejected Washington's strong trade offer, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Washington is expected to look for a starting quarterback in a trade, free agency or the NFL Draft, and started their search with Wilson. The Seahawks have stated that Wilson will not be traded, so Washington likely will have to move on. Fantasy players probably will consider Washington's quarterback a No. 2 fantasy option unless they are able to acquire one of the top quarterbacks.
