Free-agent QB Russell Wilson (Steelers) visited the New York Giants Thursday, March 14 for dinner, continuing into Friday, March 15 with a meeting with team owners in the office.
Huddle Up: Wilson also has met with the Cleveland Browns. Wherever he lands, Wilson would enter the 2025 season as a QB2 in all fantasy leagues. New York is an intriguing landing spot, as he would have WR Malik Nabers to work with, as well as up-and-coming RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. and newly re-signed WR Darius Slayton.

Updating a previous report, free-agent QB Russell Wilson (Steelers) is reportedly scheduled to meet with the New York Giants this week after he visits the Cleveland Browns, according to a source.
Huddle Up: New York would be an odd but somewhat interesting fit for Wilson. While Wilson has been able to make at least one pass-catcher on his team viable in fantasy just about every year of his career, he is not a quarterback a team wants to be throwing 40 times per game either - which might be the case with New York in 2025. Regardless of the landing spot, Wilson should not be considered anything more than a low-end QB2 this season.

Free-agent QB Russell Wilson (Steelers) is planning to visit with the Cleveland Browns later in the week, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Wilson would undoubtedly represent an upgrade over what Deshaun Watson has provided during his time in Cleveland, but is he much of an upgrade on Jameis Winston? For his part, Wilson has posted a touchdown-to-interception ratio over 3:1 over the last two seasons. What has been lacking is the overwhelming touchdown efficiency he enjoyed earlier in his career and two of his lowest yards per attempt marks. If Wilson ends up in Cleveland, he should be viewed as little more than a back-end QB2.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson is unlikely to join the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a league source.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields is reportedly more likely to return to the team than Russell WIlson, according to sources via NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Fields was famously replaced by Wilson after going 4-2 this season. As NFL Network's Mike Garafolo stated on "The Insiders," there was some thought that Pittsburgh scaled back the offense to keep the pressure off Fields since the intention all along was to have Wilson start in 2024. Fields is more than 10 years younger than Wilson, who did not make much of a case to retain the starting job with a poor finish to the season. Fields' dual-threat ability will give him theoretical QB1 upside for as long as he remains one of the best athletes on the field, but Pittsburgh needs to add some more weapons in order for that to happen.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields appears to be the more likely candidate for the Steelers to re-sign this offseason than impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: The Steelers have indicated they would like to sign either Fields or Wilson, but it seems like Fields has more momentum at this point. Fantasy players should monitor the situation over the next few weeks, but neither quarterback will likely be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback at this point.

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Sam Darnold, Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson and New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, who will be released at some point this spring, will be among the New York Giants' top options at quarterback in free agency, according to ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.
Huddle Up: Once the Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford agreed to terms on a restructured contract on Friday, it slammed the door on the Giants upgrading the quarterback position in a big way. Interestingly, Raanan reported that the Giants had interest in Darnold last season before deciding he was too expensive as a backup to then-starter Daniel Jones. Fields is reportedly much more interested in the Jets than the Giants and Wilson has ties to new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll, so the G-Men could be in a spot where they must decide on Darnold or using the No. 3 overall pick on a quarterback.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending quarterback QB Russell Wilson, Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields and Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Sam Darnold are expected to receive interest from the Las Vegas Raiders during free agency, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Raiders had interest in Matthew Stafford but will now have to consider one of the free-agent quarterbacks to sign this offseason. The Raiders have some good pass catchers on the roster, but whoever is the starting quarterback probably will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2025.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson is expected to be an option for the New York Giants if he hits the free-agent market, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: Wilson met with the Giants last offseason but decided to sign with the Steelers, so they make have another chance to sign Wilson. He posted solid numbers with the Steelers but would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he joins the Giants.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson said he is focusing on staying with the Steelers and is not looking at other teams.
Huddle Up: The Steelers are looking to keep one of their quarterbacks, but it is not known if it will be Wilson or Justin Fields. Wilson likely will be the starting quarterback for a team next season but will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.
