New York Giants QB Russell Wilson faces a daunting first four weeks with games against the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Chargers. If Wilson looks "competent" and wins "at least one" game during that four-game stretch "he could start all of 2025," in the opinion of The Athletic's Jacob Robinson. If not, however, Robinson suggests that rookie QB Jaxson Dart "could start earlier than anticipated."
Huddle Up: Even while helping the Steelers reach the playoffs last year, Wilson rarely put up the type of numbers fantasy owners are looking for across his 11 starts, topping 300 yards just once and logging one or zero TDs six times. Now playing for a team with long-shot postseason aspirations and suspect receiving talent outside of Malik Nabers, Wilson holds nominal appeal unless you're planning on rostering three QBs.

New York Giants WR Malik Nabers was the primary reason that Russell Wilson decided to sign with the team this offseason. "I came here because of (Nabers). I really wanted to play with someone who is special like him," Wilson told Empire Sports Media's Anthony Rivardo.
Huddle Up: Wilson may have conveniently omitted the likelihood that New York was his only suitor this spring, but there is little question that throwing to Nabers will make his job easier. While it is fair to wonder if Wilson is much of an upgrade over Daniel Jones, the great thing for Nabers moving forward is New York should be in much better shape for the long term with first-round draft pick Jaxson Dart on board. As for Nabers, he is a solid first-round draft pick in redraft and an easy top-five receiver in dynasty formats.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson is still expected to be the team's Week 1 starter but QB Jaxson Dart has shown a great deal of improvement this offseason, according to head coach Brian Daboll. In the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it seems to be a matter of "when, not if" Dart will assume the starting role.
Huddle Up: Wilson should be viewed as a QB2 option in deeper fantasy leagues to begin the year but if Dart assumes the starting quarterback job at some point during the 2025 season, he can also be viewed as a serviceable QB2 option with a greater amount of upside. If you can afford the roster space, Dart should be rostered in all dynasty formats.

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton has developed a "quality connection" with QB Russell Wilson, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Malik Nabers is the unquestioned No. 1 receiver for the Giants, but Slayton could be next in the pecking order for targets, especially if he and Wilson are on the same page. Slayton could be worth keeping an eye on during the preseason.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson "definitely is the leader" of the quarterback room, according to WR Wan'Dale Robinson via ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.
Huddle Up: Robinson cited Wilson's push to organize several throwing sessions as one of the reasons why he felt compelled to talk about Wilson's place on the depth chart. This is just confirmation of what 99% of football fans already knew. Jameis Winston was signed to backup money this offseason, while the Giants hope they can have first-round draft choice Jaxson Dart hold the clipboard for most of his rookie season. Circumstances will likely cause New York to change course around midseason, but it seems pretty certain Wilson will be QB1 to begin the year.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson received most of the work with the first-team offense during practice Wednesday, May 28.
Huddle Up: Wilson likely will open the season as the starting quarterback for the Giants, but Jaxson Dart may take the job over at some point during the 2025 season. Wilson could be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in some deeper leagues but will not be a starting option.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson was officially named the team's starting quarterback by head coach Brian Daboll at a press conference Thursday, April 24.
Huddle Up: This news should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, despite the presence of Jameis Winston and first-round draft pick Jaxson Dart on the roster, along with Tommy DeVito. Although Wilson showed flashes of brilliance in 2024, his performance tailed off near the end of the season, so he should be viewed as a midrange QB2 option in most fantasy formats. Dart will have value in dynasty leagues, although there is a good chance that he won't see the field in 2025.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson recently held a workout with WR Darius Slayton, WR Wan'Dale Robinson and TE Theo Johnson.
Huddle Up: Wilson likely will be the leading candidate for the starting quarterback entering training camp based on the contract he signed this offseason. He had some productive outings in 2024 but struggled at the end of the season. Wilson likely will be a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson will work with the first-team offense during offseason workouts, according to general manager Joe Schoen.
Huddle Up: Wilson received a good contract from the Giants, so he should be the leading candidate for the starting job even if the team selects a quarterback in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Wilson played well at times this past season but should only be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson said he expects to open the 2025 season as the starting quarterback.
Huddle Up: Wilson probably will enter training camp as the significant favorite for the starting job even if the team selects a quarterback in the first round because of the contract he signed. Fantasy players can monitor the situation over the next few months but should consider Wilson a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.
