Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery carried 21 times for 88 yards and caught all three of his targets for 36 yards in Week 13 versus the Chicago Bears.
Huddle Up: There is some question earlier in the week whether Montgomery would be able to play through a shoulder injury on such a tight turnaround, but he ended up leading the backfield in touches by a significant margin over Jahmyr Gibbs (24-11). On the negative side, Week 13 marked only the third time this season that the former Bear did not find the end zone. Montgomery should be considered a strong candidate to score a touchdown and serve as a low-end RB1 in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: For what it is worth, head coach Dan Campbell told reporters earlier today that he is optimistic about Montgomery playing in Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears. While it is impossible to know how much Montgomery is hurting at the moment, it is probably a safe bet to assume Jahmyr Gibbs will handle a slightly heavier workload than Montgomery on Thanksgiving. In a week where Montgomery is not 100% and no teams are on bye, consider him a fantasy RB2.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery had 12 carries, 32 yards, and a touchdown versus the Houston Texans in Week 10. He added a 24-yard catch on two targets.
Huddle Up: The touchdown was nice -- it was his eighth on the year -- but we also saw the continuation of a troubling trend with Montgomery rushing for less than 40 yards in a game for the third time in the past four weeks. He's supplemented it to a degree with decent receiving yards, but he's not a volume pass catcher, so that's not a safe source of value. The veteran is still a solid low-end RB2 type with a little upside, but his production has noticeably slowed following a hot start.
