Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce plans to get in touch with the team after the Super Bowl to discuss his future plans, according to multiple sources. The 36-year-old had reportedly been contemplating retirement but the Chiefs would like him to return for at least one more season.
Huddle Up: Although Kelce has not announced an official decision regarding playing in 2026, he made a comment on his podcast celebrating the recent return of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to the Chiefs' coaching staff which hinted that he could come back for the 2026 campaign. If Kelce's playing career continues, he will continue to play an important role in the Kansas City offense and could be viewed as a low-end TE1 in fantasy leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has not made an official decision on his playing future, but people close to him believe he could play again in 2026, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the offseason to see if Kelce retires or continues playing. He will continue to be a solid part in the Chiefs passing game if he plays in 2026 and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce hauled in three of his six targets for 12 yards in Week 18 versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
Huddle Up: In what might have been the final game of his storied career, Kelce can be excused for having such a poor performance since he was catching passes from Shane Buechele and Chris Oladokun. Kelce has said previously that he intends to decide about his playing future before the start of free agency. Until then, prospecting dynasty managers should consider stashing Noah Gray if they still can.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught five of his six targets for 35 yards in a 20-13 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Kelce led the Chiefs in catches, targets and receiving yards, but with Chris Oladokun starting, Kelce was limited to shorter routes. Kelce will likely be leaned on again in the season finale, but big plays could be tough to come by. Kelce's ceiling is likely to suffer, making him a low-end TE1 option.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce ended up with a single 6-yard reception on four targets in Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans.
Huddle Up: Kelce has looked disinterested at times this season, but it's really going to be a challenge now that Patrick Mahomes was lost to an ACL last week, and Gardner Minshew suffered the same fate this week. Kelce has morphed into more of a low-end TE2 in fantasy leagues lately, especially now that he is catching passes for third-string QB Chris Oladokun.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce needs 203 yards over the final three games to become the oldest tight end in NFL history to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
Huddle Up: Kelce's 797 yards not only put him within striking distance of the record, but they also put him second among tight ends in receiving yards this season. The veteran has remained a reliable TE1 for most of the year, but the injury to Patrick Mahomes puts Kelce's pursuit of the record and his fantasy value in jeopardy. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him struggle in Week 16.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce registered seven receptions for a game-high 70 yards on nine targets in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Huddle Up: Kelce's catch and yardage total was his highest since Week 11 when he had season bests with nine receptions and 91 yards with a touchdown on 13 targets. Kelce looked like a TE1 in fantasy leagues, at least for those in PPR leagues, but his short-term fantasy outlook is a bit cloudy with Patrick Mahomes exiting with a knee injury. Mahomes needs an MRI, and the Chiefs were eliminated. It's possible Kelce could have Gardner Minshew throwing to him in Week 16 and beyond.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce had one catch for eight yards versus the Houston Texans in Week 14. Kelce was targeted five times.
Huddle Up: To say Kelce had a bad night is an understatement. He struggled to find room against Houston's defense, and when Patrick Mahomes did get him the ball, he couldn't haul in it, most notably bobbling a pass into the game-sealing interception. The result, a season-low eight yards. Despite that, at a position with few airtight options, Kelce remains a viable midrange TE1.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught five of his six targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in a 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13.
Huddle Up: It wasn't Kelce's biggest game of the year, but he did find the end zone for the fifth time. The veteran tight end has been one of the steadier options at the position, and he is a safe bet for a handful of grabs and around 50 receiving yards per game.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught four passes for 43 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: Kelce has been playing well over the last month, but his 43 yards this week was his second lowest total of the season. He continues to be one of the main parts of the Chiefs passing game and will be a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues next week.
