Green Bay Packers WR Devin Funchess hasn't shared his intentions for the 2021 season with the team after opting out of the 2020 campaign, according to offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett Tuesday, March 2. He remains under contract.
Huddle Up: The Packers may not have as much of a need for Funchess after the emergence of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling in 2020. WR Allen Lazard projects as the starter opposite Davante Adams. Funchess can be dropped in all dynasty leagues.

Green Bay Packers WR Devin Funchess opted out of the 2020 season Tuesday, July 28.
Huddle Up: Signed as a free agent this offseason, Funchess was the team's lone addition to the passing game. Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will remain the top two options behind No. 1 WR Davante Adams. Lazard is worth little more than a late-round flier.

Unrestricted free-agent WR Devin Funchess (Colts) is expected to sign an undisclosed contract with the Green Bay Packers, according to sources.
Huddle Up: A broken clavicle derailed any chance of a decent season for Funchess in his lone year with the Indianapolis Colts. There will be a big upgrade at quarterback after going from Jacoby Brissett to Aaron Rodgers. However, Green Bay will remain committed to the run, so expectations should be held in check, as if they weren't already for the plodding, big-bodied former Carolina Panther. Funchess has limited appeal in any setting, mostly because of his size, and he could emerge as a presence in the red zone. Draft him as nothing more than a late-round flier.

Indianapolis Colts WR Devin Funchess (clavicle) will not return from the Reserve/Injured list, head coach Frank Reich confirmed. Tests revealed that the wide receiver's surgically-repaired clavicle will not be 100 percent healed by the time the team faced its Wednesday, Dec. 4 deadline to decide whether to return to him to the active roster or revert him to IR for the rest of the season.
Huddle Up: Funchess posted just three receptions for 32 yards in his only appearance of the season for the Colts back in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The veteran is still just 25 years old, so he has plenty of time to make an impact in the league. It just won't be in 2019.

Indianapolis Colts WR Devin Funchess (collarbone) is not expected to be activated from the Reserve/Injured list before the deadline Wednesday, Dec. 4, meaning that he will be ineligible to play again this season, according to multiple sources.
Huddle Up: Funchess is recovering from a fractured collarbone but he hasn't healed enough because the plate inserted into the break did not work as well as hoped. With T.Y. Hilton (calf) also sidelined at the moment, the Colts are very thin at the wide receiver position, with oft-injured Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal and Chester Rogers making shaky flex options for deeper fantasy formats.

Indianapolis Colts WR Devin Funchess (clavicle) won't return to the field in Week 13, according to head coach Frank Reich Wednesday, Nov. 27. The window for the Colts to add Funchess to the active roster from the Reserve/Injured list expires Wednesday, Dec. 4, at which point he'll be shut down for the season if not activated. 'He's not going to make it this week, not because of anything we've learned in the last couple of days,' Reich said. '... We've had no setbacks, there's been nothing negative, the reality is from where we've got to be and where we need to be, he won't make it there on Sunday.'
Huddle Up: The Colts could sure use him, especially if they have hopes of making some noise in the playoffs. WRs T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell have both battled injuries, while Zach Pascal and Chester Rogers haven't been able to step up as consistent contributors.

Indianapolis Colts WR Devin Funchess (collarbone) has not yet been activated from the Reserve/Injured list, so it is extremely unlikely he plays in Week 12 against the Houston Texans.
Huddle Up: Funchess hasn't shed his non-contact jersey, and the team is unlikely to rush him and risk aggravating his injury. Fantasy owners will want to see him officially return and knock off the rust, making it through a full game without any setbacks. Unfortunately for most owners, time is running out for that to happen in the fantasy regular season.
