Jacksonville Jaguars RBs Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen "make sense as potential fill-ins on third downs thanks to their abilities as pass-catchers out of the backfield and the success each had pass-blocking in college," according to SI.com's John Shipley.
Huddle Up: Shipley notes that while Travis Etienne is a skilled pass-catcher, he is not a proficient pass protector. He also labeled Tank Bigsby mostly as an early-down rusher and called Allen the "most versatile receiver" of the rookie duo. The only thing that seems certain now is Jacksonville finding a way to keep all four backs. Tuten is probably the best long-term bet of the bunch considering how much of a priority he was for the new regime. Still, it would not be a shock if it took an injury to one of the veterans before he became relevant in redraft this season.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten needs to improve his pass protection, according to head coach Liam Coen. "From protection systems in college to the pros, that's usually where you see some of the tempo slow down for them - playing slower, thinking more - is when pass-pro starts to kind of bog the mind," Coen said in June, explaining that teaching the "why" for backs to learn several variations of footwork that pair with pass proection can slow down a back in that phase of the offseason.
Huddle Up: Tuten must learn to pass block if he wants to see action on third downs. The fourth-rounder is behind Travis Etienne, who has proven brittle, and Tank Bigsby. So there's no clear path yet, but he has been compared to De'Von Achane because of his burst. Keep him in mind for a handcuff or RB5 grab.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence possesses the "tools to be a top-10 quarterback," in the opinion of Jeff Howe of The Athletic, if Lawrence can reach his potential under new head coach Liam Coen. If the pairing fails, however, it will lead to an "organizational reset."
Huddle Up: Lawrence looked like he was ready to ascend to superstardom following a strong finish to 2022, but in two years since he has devolved into a glorified game manager, posting just four games of 300-plus yards in that time with only one three-touchdown performance. Coen is coming off a highly successful stint with Baker Mayfield, another former No. 1 overall pick whose star had dulled, so the elements are in place for a bounce back campaign. Lawrence would be an interesting high-upside QB2 to pair with a strong QB1.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence recently participated in workouts with WRs Brian Thomas Jr., WR/CB Travis Hunter and Dyami Brown.
Huddle Up: Lawrence is learning a new offense and has to build chemistry with Hunter and Brown since they new to the team. There is a good chance that he will be able improve his numbers under head coach Liam Coen but probably will be a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr., WR/CB Travis Hunter and WR Dyami Brown are working out together leading up to training camp.
Huddle Up: Thomas, Hunter and Brown should be the team's top three receivers this season and will be working in a new offensive scheme. Thomas will be a weekly starting option, while Hunter can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option most weeks. Brown can be a late round pick but probably will not be a starting option in most leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne is expected to remain the team's top running back, according to Demetrius Harvey of of Jacksonville.com.
Huddle Up: Even if Etienne remains the starter, it doesn't mean he is going to handle a heavy workload. Etienne was already sharing carries with Tank Bigsby, and the Jaguars added Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen in the draft. At best, Etienne is probably a RB3.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown was one of the standout performers during offseason workouts, in the opinion of The Florida Times-Union's Juston Lewis.
Huddle Up: Brown likely will enter training camp as the No. 3 receiver behind Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. The Jaguars probably will throw a lot under head coach Liam Coen, so Brown could be a late round pick in deeper leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten agreed to a four-year rookie contract, according to sources Tuesday, June 24.
Huddle Up: Tuten, a fourth-round pick, will compete with Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby for a role in Liam Coen's backfield. The rookie posted a 4.32 in the 40-yard dash and could carve out a significant role before the season is over. Managers should view him as a late-round dart throw with some intriguing upside.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby's role and playing time probably will be decided during training camp, in the opinion of JaguarsWire's Paul Bretl.
Huddle Up: Bigsby shared playing time with Travis Etienne last season but will be working in a new offense in 2025. He should still see a good amount of work in the running game under head coach Liam Coen and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 running back in most leagues.

Updating previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick WR/CB Travis Hunter's deal includes a $30.57 million signing bonus paid entirely upfront, which makes Hunter the first non-quarterback and non-No. 1 overall pick to get the entirety of the signing bonus upfront. The total value of the deal is about $2 million more than what the No. 1 pick, QB Cam Ward, received from the Tennessee Titans.
Huddle Up: Hunter is a supremely talented athlete, but there's no telling how much he'll be involved in the offense. The team already has a stud in Brian Thomas Jr., and they can slow play Hunter to a degree. He has the hype and the tools to be taken around WR3 value in fantasy drafts.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange has "a lot of physical traits that can be a balanced tight end and do a lot of different things that this offense will ask him to do," according to recent comments from offensive coordinator Grant Udinski. "His work ethic, first and foremost, is hopefully a leadership attribute that the guys can model and see what he does on a day-to-day basis. But from a leadership standpoint and just from a player standpoint, you see a guy with a lot of potential to just continue to grow, whether it's in the pass game or the run game. ... A guy with a lot of physical traits that can be that balanced tight end and do a lot of different things that this offense will ask him to do," Udinski said.
Huddle Up: While it should be noted that head coach Liam Coen will be calling the shots on offense, Udinski's opinion still matters. Strange flirted with fantasy relevancy as Evan Engram struggled with injuries last year and finished with 40 catches. With Engram now in Denver and little competition for snaps behind him, Strange should be fully expected to push for 50 or 60 catches as a full-time player. Coen's recent offenses have led to career years from Tyler Higbee (72 catches in 2022) and Cade Otton (67 catches over 14 games in 2024), so optimism is warranted in what figures to be a pass-heavy attack.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter received more time at wide receiver during offseason workouts because the team believes his more natural position is cornerback, according to general manager James Gladstone. "Our understanding that Travis is most naturally comfortable, most naturally in-tune on the defensive side of the ball." Gladstone said. "We wanted to load him offensively throughout this window to ensure that by the time we got to training camp, we had a runway built up on that side because there is so much more nuance."
Huddle Up: There is a good chance that Hunter will see playing time at both positions, but fantasy players will need to see how he is used during training camp and the preseason. He has a chance to be a good fantasy option in fantasy leagues as a No. 3 receiver if he sees most of his work on offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter "does not tire" and has "the capacity" to play on both sides of the ball for four quarters, according to general manager James Gladstone. "He does not tire. He's got a spark, he's got the energy, the capacity from a physical standpoint to be able to do it is certainly there," Gladstone told Andrew Siciliano on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday, June 17.
Huddle Up: Consider this as confirmation that Jacksonville has seen nothing during spring practices to dissuade them from their initial belief that Hunter will eventually be a full-time receiver and cornerback. Gladstone did not commit to a certain number of offensive or defensive snaps per game that the Jaguars are expecting from Hunter as a rookie, other than to say they believe he will be able to handle whatever they ask of him. The problem - as it was in college - is if playing both ways makes it difficult for him to hold up for a full season. As Jacksonville has suggested for nearly two months, fantasy managers should Hunter to play primarily as a receiver early in the season and play full-time both ways sometime around November. Consider him a fantasy WR3 this season with significant upside.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne said he thinks he will be a good fit for head coach Liam Coen's offensive system. "He's been getting me in a lot of space," Etienne said.
Huddle Up: Although Etienne certainly could benefit from a new offensive scheme, it remains to be seen if the Jaguars believe he deserves to handle a heavy workload. He is coming off his worst season as a pro, and the team selected a pair of running backs in the draft. Etienne is still probably the best bet to lead the team in carries, but he is best viewed as a flex option.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. (shoulder) left practice early Wednesday, June 11, after landing hard on his shoulder. Head coach Liam Coen said it was precautionary, and Thomas could have gone back in.
Huddle Up: Thomas was the WR5 in PPR leagues last year and will remain a hot item as a WR1 in fantasy drafts.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (arm), who was spotted wearing a throwing sleeve at the start of mandatory minicamp, is experiencing "general soreness," according to head coach Liam Coen.
Huddle Up: It sounds like this is nothing to worry about and something Coen can manage by limiting Lawerence's reps this week. With a pair of dynamic receivers in Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Lawrence could easily make a push to be a low-end fantasy QB1 this season if he can stay healthy.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter has been working exclusively at wide receiver during the three voluntary workouts open to the media this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Michael DiRocco.
Huddle Up: The Jaguars have indicated that Hunter will focus on receiver first, so he probably will not see a lot of work on defense at the start of the season. He should be an important part of the passing game for the Jaguars and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown has been working as one of the top receivers during OTAs, and "it's increasingly apparent that he figures to play a huge role in the offense" in 2025, according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com.
Huddle Up: Brown has drawn positive reviews throughout the offseason, but he still has to compete with Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter for targets. Brown has the speed to provide some big plays, but consistent game-to-game production seems like a stretch.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has shown drastically improved footwork during offseason workouts, according to head coach Liam Coen.
Huddle Up: Lawrence is learning a new offense this offseason and has also been working on improving his mechanics. He has played well at times since entering the NFL but probably will be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues this upcoming season.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne "has done everything we have asked him to do and more," according to head coach Liam Coen on Monday, June 2.
Huddle Up: Coen went on to say that the rumors of Etienne's questionable standing with the team are "absolutely inaccurate." The team's decision to draft two running backs in April - including fourth-rounder Bhayshul Tuten - suggests otherwise, but perhaps the Jaguars chose to do that because Etienne is entering the final season of his contract. Fantasy managers are justified in feeling trepidation when selecting Etienne this summer, but there is also a distinct possibility he leads this backfield before hitting the open market next spring.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown has been "really productive" throughout the early part of the team's offseason work, according to head coach Liam Coen. "He's made a lot of plays. He's been really productive throughout this whole camp so far. Showing versatility to maybe do some things that he hadn't put on tape in the past or wasn't asked to do from his skill set standpoint. I thought obviously very productive towards the halfway point of last year, into the playoffs, and then you see that confidence continuing to grow throughout this camp and this offseason," Coen told reporters on Tuesday, May 27.
Huddle Up: Brown played very little for the first 3 1/2 seasons of his NFL career before the Washington Commanders started to rely on him more often down the stretch last year. Jacksonville bought into his late emergence, inking him to a one-year contract worth $10 million in free agency. Brown will likely act as more of a field-stretcher in Jacksonville and is unlikely to affect the target shares of Brian Thomas Jr. or Travis Hunter very much, but there is a chance Coen envisions him playing a role similar to the one Jalen McMillan had while playing under Coen with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in 2024.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange said he believes he is ready to take over as the starting tight end this upcoming season.
Huddle Up: Strange was productive when he joined the starting lineup last season and should see a decent amount of targets each game. He should be considered a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown has flashed during OTAs and could be a "critical cog" of the offense, according to Kainani Stevens of Jaguars.com.
Huddle Up: Brown has the speed to stretch the field, but with Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter in the mix for targets, Brown will likely be a big-play dependent fantasy option.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter worked exclusively at wide receiver during practice Monday, May 19.
Huddle Up: Hunter is expected to be primarily a receiver for the Jaguars this season but could also see some work at a cornerback. He is in line for a solid role in the passing game right away and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has been impressive with his ability to pick up the new offensive scheme, according to head coach Liam Coen.
Huddle Up: Lawrence will be working in a new offense this upcoming season and will also have several new pass catchers on the field with him. He has posted solid numbers when he has been healthy but probably will be a No. 2 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars seventh-round draft choice RB LeQuint Allen is "kind of an interesting player" who can play a little bit of slot, according to head coach Liam Coen. "Then you look at (LeQuint) Allen, kind of an interesting player. Can play a little bit of slot. Move him into the backfield. Obviously, he had 1,000 yards over the last two years, and then he can catch the ball out of the back field. Good in the screen game. Competitor, man," Coen told SI.com.
Huddle Up: Allen enters his first NFL season facing a logjam at running back, but it appears the Jaguars are planning to move on from Travis Etienne and/or Tank Bigsby at some point, especially considering Jacksonville invested two draft picks into the position and NFL teams rarely carry more than three backs on their game day roster. It remains to be seen if the new regime will give the veterans a chance to prove themselves or if they will be jettisoned in favor of Allen and fourth-round draft choice Bhayshul Tuten.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten could "make an impact" in head coach Liam Coen's offense, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Travis Etienne is coming off a disappointing year, and while Tank Bigsby had his moments, Tuten's speed could add an explosive element to the offense. The rookie is worth grabbing in the later rounds of drafts.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne is not "guaranteed" a roster spot heading into the season, in the opinion of Jacksonville.com's Demetrius Harvey, who notes that the team has put a lot of work into reshaping the offensive line and running back rooms under new head coach Liam Coen. That includes drafting RBs Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen.
Huddle Up: A first-round pick in 2021, Etienne missed his entire rookie year and has seen his production drop from 1,441 combined yards in 2022 down to 812 yards last year, which included career lows in yards per carry (3.7), yards per reception (6.5), and touchdowns (2). One of the biggest fantasy disappointments from 2024, Etienne might be entering his final days in Duval. Even if he makes the team, you cannot view him as more than a shaky RB3 given his downward trajectory.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter will reportedly get the chance to begin his NFL career by working primarily with the team's wide receivers, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Huddle Up: The early intention is to have Hunter major at receiver and minor at cornerback. In other words, the No. 2 overall pick will be a receiver first but also meet with the defensive backs. This news will almost certainly push Hunter ahead of Tetairoa McMillan in many rookie drafts, but there are a few reasons why that may not be a good idea. First and foremost, Hunter will struggle for consistent alpha usage while sharing targets with Brian Thomas Jr. The Colorado product is also still raw as a receiver. Last but not least, Hunter struggled to stay healthy for a full season. Playing both sides of the ball in the NFL only figures to amplify his durability risk.
