Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis (ankle) has been declared inactive for the Week 17 game.
Huddle Up: Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon likely will share playing time against the New Orleans Saints with Davis and Christian McCaffrey sidelined. Smith has been more involved in the offense over the last few weeks and could be a flex option in leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) has been declared inactive for the Week 17 game.
Huddle Up: Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon likely will share playing time against the New Orleans Saints. Smith likely has more fantasy value at this point and can be a flex option in leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Anderson is on a bit of a cold streak over the last few weeks but ranks in the top ten in the NFL in receptions and in the top 15 in receiving yards. He should be a focal point in the passing game this week and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as doubtful for Week 17.
Huddle Up: Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon are on track to receive increased playing time with Davis sidelined. Smith may receive more of the snaps since he has been involved in the offense the last few weeks. He can be a possible flex options in leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as doubtful for Week 17.
Huddle Up: The Panthers are expected to be without their top two running backs, so Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon will receive the playing time at the position. Smith has received a handful of carries over the last few weeks and may have more fantasy value. He could be a flex option in some deeper fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson (groin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Anderson should receive his normal workload this week and should see a solid amount of targets. He can be considered at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.
Huddle Up: Davis is not expected to play, so Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon will receive the snaps at running back this week. Smith has been more involved over the last few weeks and probably will have more fantasy value. He could be a flex option in some leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Huddle Up: Davis is not expected to play in the Week 17 game, but fantasy players can check later in the week for his official status. Rodney Smith may be the leading candidate to start this week and could be a flex option if he receives most of the work.

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Anderson will be able to play in Week 17. He has been a reliable option for fantasy players this season and should be a starting option in all leagues if he is active for the game.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) will not be available for the Week 17 game, according to head coach Matt Rhule.
Huddle Up: Mike Davis is also expected to miss the game, so Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon are candidate to receive carries in the Week 17 game. Fantasy players should monitor the situation because the starter will have fantasy value.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) is 'probably a no' in terms of his availability in Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Matt Rhule.
Huddle Up: It's a predictable yet sad probable ending for the consensus No. 1 overall pick in fantasy this summer, who will finish 2020 having only played three games due to ankle, shoulder and leg injuries. Despite how this year unfolded, he's likely to hold a similar ranking in most drafts next summer. Mike Davis and Rodney Smith will once again handle the majority of workload versus the Saints, although only Davis is playable in most leagues as a middling RB2 with a tough matchup.

Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore posted five receptions for 37 yards on 10 targets in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.
Huddle Up: Moore is in the 1,000-yard receiving club along the Robby Anderson, the first Carolina wide receivers with 1,000 yards together in a single season since Patrick Jeffers and Muhsin Muhammad did it in 1999. The Panthers finish up in Week 17 with a visit from the Saints.

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson registered seven receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.
Huddle Up: Anderson joined DJ Moore in the 1,000-yard receiving club, joining Muhsin Muhammad and Patrick Jeffers (1999) as the first wide receiver duo to eclipse the mark in the same season for the Panthers.

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel posted seven runs for a team-high 52 yards and he added five receptions for a career-high 106 yards on five targets in Week 16 against the Washington Football.
Huddle Up: Samuel, who is playing for a contract this offseason, eclipsed his previous career high of 105 yards set in Kansas City back on Nov. 8. He'll look to finish up strong in Week 17 against the visiting New Orleans Saints.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis rushed 14 times for just 28 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team, helping him reach 1,000 total scrimmage yards for the season.
Huddle Up: Davis has had a career year handling the No. 1 duties for a majority of the season with Christian McCaffrey sidelined due to a myriad of injuries. He has shown he can be a productive back in the NFL, and if he isn't in Carolina in 2021, he'll get a chance somewhere.

Carolina Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater completed 19-of-28 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.
Huddle Up: Bridgewater has now played in 14 games this season, his most since 2015, his second year in the NFL when he played his only 16-game full schedule. It took him a couple of organizations and five seasons since a gruesome preseason injury with the Vikings in 2016 to get back, but the 28-year-old is finally healthy and finishing up strong. The future remains bright for Bridgewater, although he is just so-so on a marginal team.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) has been declared inactive for the Week 16 game.
Huddle Up: Mike Davis will continue to be the starting running back for the Panthers and should be a No. 2 back in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) missed his fifth consecutive practice Friday, Dec. 25, and is listed as doubtful for Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.
Huddle Up: Head coach Matt Rhule refused to rule his stud back out for this weekend, but Panthers beat writer Alaina Getzenberg has already reported that Rhule is not even sure about getting him back in Week 17. Fantasy owners should expect another 15-touch down from Mike Davis in a bad matchup in Week 16, while Rodney Smith gets the rest of the work. As such, Davis figures to be a weak RB2 option in most leagues. Smith profiles a mid-range flex in deeper leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: Samuel has been targeted at least nine times in four of the last six games and should receive a similar workload this week. He can be considered a No. 3 receiver or flex options in leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 24. 'He wants to play,'' Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said Thursday. 'He's not able to play. He wants to play. He's dying to play. Just not quite there yet.''
Huddle Up: CMac owners know the drill: He's doubtful to play Sunday in Week 16, and his availability for Week 17 is very much in question as well. Sadly, it looks like a lost season aside from the three games he did manage to squeeze in.

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Huddle Up: Samuel has been targeted at least nine times in four of the last six games and has posted at least 65 yards in four of those games. He will see a solid amount of targets this week and can be at least a flex option in leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (thigh) is considered doubtful for the Week 16 game, according to head coach Matt Rhule.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players can monitor the situation to see if McCaffrey shows any improvement but should look for other options. Mike Davis will continue to see most of the work at running back and can be a No. 2 back or flex option in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (quad) will 'hopefully' practice Wednesday, Dec. 23, according to head coach Matt Rhule. If McCaffrey can practice, Rhule intends to prepare him to play in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners have been through this drill more times than they care to remember, but both McCaffrey and the team have repeatedly stated they expect the stud back to play again this season. The overwhelming majority of teams that drafted McCaffrey likely won't be playing for a fantasy championship, but he would be a top-five option this week if he can go. If not, expect Carolina to utilize something approaching a 60-40 split with Mike Davis and Rodney Smith in a less than favorable matchup.

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) was targeted a team-high nine times but finished with four catches for 42 yards in Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers. Samuel also added six yards rushing on two carries.
Huddle Up: Samuel put a scare into his fantasy owners after landing on the injury report Thursday, but his ability to run did not appear to be affected much if at all by the cold temperature at Lambeau Field. He did struggle to hang on to at least a couple of potential catches, however. Those missed opportunities led to only Samuel's second single-digit PPR effort since Week 4. Samuel should be considered a WR3 option in Week 16, but he will have his hands full trying to bounce back against the Washington Football Team that has defended the slot well for most of 2020.

Carolina Panthers WR Robby Anderson set season lows with two catches for 21 yards (on a season-low tying five targets) in Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers. He also lost a yard on his only carry.
Huddle Up: It will be interesting to find out how often stud corner Jaire Alexander was tracking Anderson because the latter didn't see his first target until midway through the third quarter. To be fair, D.J. Moore was the only receiver on either side that managed to somewhat meet the expectations of his fantasy owners. On the plus side, Anderson surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. He should be considered a solid WR2 in Week 16 versus the Washington Football Team.

Green Bay Packers WR D.J. Moore hauled in six of his eight targets for 131 yards and ran for one yard on his only carry in Week 15 versus the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: Moore had not seen any action since going down late with an ankle injury in Week 12 with Carolina going on a bye the following week and the receiver landing on the Reserve/COVID-19 list in Week 14. Despite that, he was the only pass-catcher that really came through for his fantasy owners in this contest, producing the biggest pass play of the game on a 40-yard catch. After an up-and-down start to his season, Moore has reestablished himself as a solid WR2 and should be considered as such in Week 16 against the Washington Football Team.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis ran for 59 yards on 14 carries and caught both of his targets for two yards in Week 15 versus the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: The Packers have been pounded by opposing running games several times this season, but they were mostly stout in this one. Making matters worse for Davis's fantasy owners was losing seven touches to undrafted rookie free-agent Rodney Smith. An RB1 in fantasy for the better part of the season, Davis' effort comes at the worst time for his fantasy owners. He will be an RB2 at best in Week 16 versus the Washington Football Team unless, of course, Christian McCaffrey returns from his quad injury.
