Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) will open the 21-day practice window Wednesday and has not yet been ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Tennessee Titans, per sources Monday, Oct. 2.
Huddle Up: The Colts have 21 days to officially activate Taylor so there's no rush to get him in the game in Week 5, but head coach Shane Steichen is still leaving the door open. If he is active, it wouldn't be a surprise if he split work with Zack Moss until he gets his legs underneath him so Taylor could be considered a flex option with a capped ceiling.

The Indianapolis Colts are expected to open the 21-day practice window for RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) Wednesday, Oct. 4, because his surgically-repaired ankle has been deemed completely healthy, according to multiple sources. There have been no new trade talks between the Colts and other teams, although one source claims that several NFL teams still have interest in completing a deal for Taylor and then signing him to a new contract which would pay him an amount in line with the league's top running backs.
Huddle Up: Taylor is in the final year of his rookie contract and is due to earn $4.3 million this season. In recent weeks, he has been working out at the club's facility doing rehab on a daily basis. When healthy, Taylor should be viewed as an RB1 option in all formats. Zack Moss will continue to see the bulk of the action in the Colts' backfield in Taylor's absence and can be used as an RB2 or flex option in fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 29, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.
Huddle Up: Richardson is returning to the lineup after missing the Week 3 game. He has become one of the more valuable quarterbacks in fantasy football and should be a starting option in all leagues this week.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) cleared the league's concussion protocol Friday, Sept. 29, and will start in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Not all the news is great for Indianapolis, as Richardson will be without center Ryan Kelly. Nevertheless, fantasy managers can turn back to the rookie in hopes he can once again tap into the immense upside he displayed in his first 1 1/2 games before his injury. However, the Rams have been very stingy against fantasy quarterbacks so far, yielding a total of two touchdowns to Geno Smith, Brock Purdy and Joe Burrow. As such, expectations should be tempered with Richardson this week.

Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) looks great and appears ready to return, according to sources. "He looks great. And I can't wait to actually physically get a chance to work with him, see him move around, see that speed and feel that speed," Colts running backs coach DeAndre Smith said.
Huddle Up: Taylor can return to practice Monday, but he is still looking for a long-term deal or a trade. Zack Moss has looked good in his absence, and the team really doesn't have to budge on Taylor's demands. The trade deadline is Halloween, and this could be a lingering issue through the month of October. Taylor is an RB1 when he suits up.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) fully participated in practice on Thursday, Sept. 28.
Huddle Up: As Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star points out, Richardson still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist before taking the field in Week 4. With that said, it appears as though it is only a matter of time before he is cleared to face the Los Angeles Rams this weekend. While Richardson certainly brings QB1 upside to the table every week, the Rams have been very stingy against fantasy quarterbacks thus far, yielding a total of two touchdowns to Geno Smith, Brock Purdy and Joe Burrow. As such, fantasy managers should temper their expectations if they roll with Richardson.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Huddle Up: Richardson appears to have a good chance to return to the lineup in Week 4, but fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation to see if he suffers any setbacks. He has been a valuable fantasy option early in the season and can be a starting option in most leagues if active.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) is still in the concussion protocol, per sources Monday, Sept. 25.
Huddle Up: Richardson was inactive in Week 3 due to the concussion and failed to log a single practice. If he clears the concussion protocol for Week 4, consider the rookie a back-end QB1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs ended up with eight receptions for 57 yards on 12 targets in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: Downs is a player worth monitoring. The rookie was the right-hand man of QB Drake Maye for the University of North Carolina last season, and he is an explosive player. Besides Michael Pittman Jr., the Colts do not really have any other stud receivers, so Downs could carve out a big role in the offense sooner rather than later. Keep an eye on him, and stash him in deeper fantasy leagues if you have the roster flexibility.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss rushed 30 times for 122 yards in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens, while adding two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown on his three targets.
Huddle Up: Jonathan who? Moss looks like the player the Buffalo Bills hoped he would be when they nabbed him in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In two games he has 210 rushing yards, 4.4 yards per attempt and two total touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving). He is looking like a solid RB2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: It should not come as a surprise, especially when we consider his starting center (Ryan Kelly) was also ruled out. The Ravens are shorthanded in the secondary, but their defense/special teams unit gets a huge boost as a result of both Colts being out. Gardner Minshew will draw a start in Richardson's place and figures to be a low-end QB2 option at best.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) did not participate in practice on Thursday, Sept. 21.
Huddle Up: As fantasy managers know by now, Richardson has to complete the five-step protocol by Sunday if he hopes to go in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have done a fine job keeping opposing quarterbacks in check, holding C.J. Stroud and Joe Burrow to an average of 232 yards passing despite facing 85 pass attempts. If Richardson cannot go, Gardner Minshew will get the start and have some low-end QB2 upside. If he can, he'll do so with limited practice time and possibly with a third-string center.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.
Huddle Up: Richardson is still going through the concussion protocol, so his status for Week 3 is uncertain. His running ability is making him a No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues, but players will need other options available in case he sits out.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) is in the concussion protocol, per sources Monday, Sept. 18.
Huddle Up: Richardson left the game against the Houston Texans after the first quarter. He slammed his head on the turf following his second rushing touchdown. If he's active in Week 3, he is a QB1 option, but he will need to pass through the protocol in order to do so.

Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs caught four of his five targets for 37 yards in a 31-20 win over the Houston Texans in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Downs has been serving as the No. 3 receiver, but he saw the second-most targets in Week 2 and has 12 targets through two games. The rookie could be emerging as the No. 2 option in the passing game and is worth a look in deeper leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss rushed 18 times for 88 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 19 yards in a 31-20 win over the Houston Texans in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Not only was Moss productive in the win, but he was the only running back to receive a carry. Even if Jonathan Taylor does return when he is eligible, Moss should at least be a flex option in the meantime. He is worth scooping up if he is available.

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (concussion) will not return to the Week 2 game because of a concussion.
Huddle Up: Richardson will need to pass the concussion tests before he is cleared to play, so he likely will be questionable for Week 3. Gardner Minshew will be the starter while Richardson is sidelined but can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.
Huddle Up: There is a decent chance that Moss will receive most of the work at running back this week after Deon Jackson struggled in Week 1. Fantasy players in deeper leagues can consider Moss a possible flex option.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 14.
Huddle Up: Moss is on track to play in the Week 2 game and likely will share playing time with Deon Jackson during the game. There is a good chance that he leads the team in rushing this week and could be a possible flex option in some leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 13.
Huddle Up: Moss appears to be on track to make his season debut this week and likely will see some touches during the game. He could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues since Deon Jackson was held in check last week.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (knee, ankle) left the Week 1 game early due to knee and ankle soreness but could have returned if needed, per sources Monday, Sept. 11. He was held out for the final three plays of the game out of precaution.
Huddle Up: Richardson's health doesn't seem to be in question, but it will be best to monitor his status throughout the week. He's a back-end QB1 as long as he's healthy.

Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is planning to be able to resume playing as early as Week 5, when he is eligible to come off the Physically Unable to Perform list. According to a source, Taylor is "going to pass his physical and could pass it today."
Huddle Up: Deon Jackson is expected to receive the bulk of the carries for the Colts in Week 1, with Evan Hull also likely to see some touches in Taylor's absence. Jackson is worthy of consideration as an RB3 or flex option for fantasy lineups but owners can probably find more serviceable options than Hull. Injured RB Zack Moss (forearm) could also see a decent amount of playing time when he is healthy enough to resume playing.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) has been declared inactive for the Week 1 game.
Huddle Up: Deon Jackson probably will receive a majority of the work at running back this week with Evan Hull also receiving some work. Jackson can be considered a flex option in most leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) was downgraded to doubtful for Week 1 on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Huddle Up: With Moss not expected to play in Week 1, the Colts will almost certainly deploy Deon Jackson as the lead back, with Evan Hull also chipping in. Jackson is a flex option but Hull shouldn't be in lineups.

Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Sept. 7.
Huddle Up: Moss has now logged two limited practices to begin the week and seems on track to play in Week 1, barring a change. He's a fringe RB3 for fantasy.
