Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) has been working out with WR Jerry Jeudy in Florida this offseason.
Huddle Up: Watson is working his way back from an Achilles injury but seems to have a chance to compete for the starting quarterback job in 2026. Fantasy players can monitor his situation, but he would be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he won the job.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders will have an open competition to see who will be the starting quarterback in Cleveland this season, in the opinion of Cameron Wolfe of ESPN on Saturday, March 28.
Huddle Up: Both quarterbacks have work to do to get in the good graces of fantasy managers. Watson is an extreme longshot to provide anywhere close to the fantasy value he did in Houston from 2017 through 2020. Sanders had moments of brilliance but also had as many moments of being a rookie fifth-round quarterback in 2025, with more interceptions (10) than touchdowns (7) in eight games and seven starts. No matter who comes out the winner in this competition, they'll be a low-end QB2 in multiple-QB fantasy formats, and a desperation streamer in single-QB leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson restructured his contract Friday, March 6, to reduce his $80.716 million salary cap hit. Terms weren't disclosed.

Cleveland Browns QBs Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson will be among those competing to be the team's starting quarterback in 2026, according to GM Andrew Berry on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Huddle Up: New Browns coach Todd Monken did not commit to Sanders, who started the final seven games in 2025, as the starter at his introductory news conference. Berry also previously said that the Browns are expected to search for a quarterback addition this offseason.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) started working out earlier this week and was scheduled to start throwing Wednesday, Feb. 11, according to a source. He has been medically cleared and is not expected to be limited during his workouts.
Huddle Up: The Browns quarterback situation is uncertain for 2026, so fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Watson has a chance at the starting job in 2026. He was not playing well before his injuries and will be only be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he starts.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson is expected to be on the 2026 roster at this point, but general manager Andrew Berry said the team will not need to make a final decision for a while.
Huddle Up: Watson missed the entire season because of his Achilles injury, so fantasy players should monitor the situation this offseason to see if he receives the chance to compete for the starting job. He was not posting great numbers before the injury and would only be a low-end No. 2 quarterback if he starts.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will not play during the 2025 season, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.

A decision regarding whether Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will be activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list will be made next week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Huddle Up: Watson was a limited participant in all three of Cleveland's practice sessions held during the week but was ruled out for Week 16's game against the Buffalo Bills. Even if Watson is activated from the PUP list, there is a good chance that he won't see any playing time because Stefanski said earlier this month that Shedeur Sanders would be the Browns' starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
