Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards (ankle) was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Huddle Up: Edwards went from tallying 30 touches over the first two games to just nine the previous two, which sent his stock into the toilet. With Edwards sidelined, Jaret Patterson and/or rookie Kimani Vidal could see more work, but J.K. Dobbins remains the running back to own in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 11, and has been ruled out for Week 6.
Huddle Up: J.K. Dobbins will receive most of the snaps at running back with Edwards unavailable and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 10.
Huddle Up: Edwards has not practiced this week and probably will be questionable at best for the Week 6 game. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but probably should look for other options. J.K. Dobbins will be a starting option in leagues if Edwards is not available to play.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Edwards has a chance to play in Week 6. J.K. Dobbins has taken over the starting job, so Edwards will see limited touches if he is active. Fantasy players probably should look for other options for their lineups.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards carried the ball six times for 19 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 29.
Huddle Up: Through the first two games, Edwards had 29 carries and J.K. Dobbins had 27. In the two games since, Edwards has nine carries to 29 for Dobbins. The latter was amazing the first two weeks but has just 76 yards the past two, so we'll see if the Chargers reconsider their decision to lean more heavily on Dobbins during their Week 5 bye. Regardless, Edwards is worth owning even in a clear backup role because Dobbins has spent most of his career on the shelf. For now, however, Edwards is best left on the bench.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards rushed for nine yards on three carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.
Huddle Up: Edwards is behind J.K. Dobbins on the depth chart and probably will see limited touches as long as Dobbins is healthy. He probably should not be a starting option in any leagues at this time.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards rushed for 59 yards on 18 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Edwards is still receiving plenty of carries even though J.K. Dobbins has been more successful in the running game. He should still see a similar workload each week and can be a flex option in deeper leagues.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards rushed 11 times for 26 yards and caught one pass for two yards in a 22-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1.
Huddle Up: While Edwards had one more carry than J.K. Dobbins, Dobbins erupted for 135 yards. If Dobbins can stay healthy and continue to deliver explosive plays, Edwards could slide into more a secondary role.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards and RB J.K. Dobbins will both receive playing time this season, and the team will go with whoever has the hot hand during games, according to offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
Huddle Up: Edwards and Dobbins shared playing time when they were with the Baltimore Ravens, so fantasy players will have an idea of their fantasy value this season. Both running backs can be flex options but may not be starting running backs in lineups because of their inconsistent usage.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Gus Edwards (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday, July 30, and split first-team repetitions with RB J.K. Dobbins, according to The Athletic's Daniel Popper.
Huddle Up: This is a muddy situation that really needs more training camp leeway to work itself out. For early drafters, they both serve as flex options due to the litany of injuries they endured with the Baltimore Ravens. Keep tabs on this situation closely because it could truly go either way.
