Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert had two carries, three yards, and a touchdown against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 15. He added four yards on two receptions.
Huddle Up: After leading the Bears' running backs with 611 yards last season, Herbert is only getting a handful of touches following the arrival of D'Andre Swift. Expect that to continue moving forward, leaving Herbert with value only in the event of a Swift injury.

Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert may feel the crunch on cut down day this summer with Roschon Johnson in the mix, Travis Homer occupying a spot on special teams and D'Andre Swift locked in as the starting running back, according to Brendan Sugrue of BearsWire.
Huddle Up: Sugrue cites pass-protection struggles and durability (nine missed games over the last two seasons) as reasons why Chicago could move on from Herbert. It is a virtual certainty that Herbert would land on his feet elsewhere quickly. The Dallas Cowboys would be considered among the favorites to scoop Herbert up if he was let go, although cases can also be made for the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants among others.

Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back, personal) is officially active for the Week 18 game.
Huddle Up: Herbert should receive most of the work at running back despite missing practice time leading up to the game. He can be considered a No. 2 running back or flex option in all leagues.

Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back) is expected to play in Week 18's game versus the Green Bay Packers, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Herbert had been listed as questionable on the injury report after sustaining a back injury during practice Thursday, Jan. 4, which caused him to miss the following day's session. However, he is expected to receive the bulk of the carries for Chicago this afternoon and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues if he is active.

Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back, personal) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Herbert may be a game-time decision, so fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He likely will receive most of the at running back if he plays and can be a starting option in all leagues.

Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back) was added to the team's practice report with a back injury on Thursday, Jan. 4.
Huddle Up: It suggests that Herbert tweaked or hurt his back on Thursday since he was not on the practice report on Wednesday. More details are sure to follow, but it would appear as though Herbert is now at risk of not playing in Week 18 against the Green Bay Packers. If that ends up being the case, rookie Roschon Johnson could get the nod and be worth using in DFS and in Week 18 league championship games as D'Onta Foreman appears to be getting phased out. Foreman was a healthy scratch in Week 17.
