Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson completed 8 of 14 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Aug. 22. He also had an interception returned for a touchdown and fumbled, though the Colts were able to recover.
Huddle Up: Considering that Cincy held out pretty much everyone that would play in a regular season game, it was a decidedly middling effort from Richardson. Coming off a rookie year in which he flashed his talent but was riddled by injury, Richardson is one of the true fantasy wild cards. He has QB1 upside, and will almost certainly be among the first 10 quarterbacks selected in drafts, but there's a lot of risk. Watching him struggle with accuracy and decision making against reserves wasn't exactly a tonic for those concerns. If you decide to roll with Richardson as your starter, make sure to nab a quality backup to hedge your bets a bit.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson will not have any limitations on his running this season because it is one of the strengths of his game, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Huddle Up: Richardson was productive with his arm and legs before he suffered his season-ending injury in 2023. He probably will be running often again this season and likely will be a No. 1 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is not expected to see any limitations at the start of camp and will likely play in the preseason, general manager Chris Ballard said on Wednesday, July 24.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) will be a "full-go" at the start of training camp next month, according to general manager Chris Ballard. "He'll be full-go. He was full-go all the way up until the last day of OTAs, and we had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before, and so we backed off a little on the last day," Ballard said.
Huddle Up: Richardson added that "everything has been smooth sailing so far." The second-year quarterback was limited to only four games as a rookie and battled different injuries even for the short time he played before the shoulder injury knocked him out for the year. If (and it is a big if) he can stay healthy, Richardson has overall QB1 upside in 2024.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson said he plans to work out with some of the wide receivers on the roster before the start of training camp.
Huddle Up: Ricardson missed most of the 2023 season because of an injury, so it would help him to get some extra work in with the receivers before the season. He is a valuable fantasy option because of his running and passing abilities and probably will be a No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) rested on the final day of minicamp practice Thursday, June 6, due to shoulder soreness.
Huddle Up: Richardson is close to being fully healthy, but there are still some hurdles to clear. As long as he's ready to go for training camp, Richardson is a high-upside QB1 option in fantasy.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) isn't expected to change his playing style after suffering a season-ending injury in 2023. "Changing my game and my play style? I don't feel like there's anything wrong with my play style," Richardson said at OTAs on Wednesday, May 22.
Huddle Up: Richardson's rushing ability is what can separate him from the rest of the quarterbacks in fantasy. Though it may lead to more injury opportunities, the second-year quarterback is a QB1 option with high upside if he stays healthy.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is expected to have minimal restrictions during the offseason workout program, according to sources Sunday, May 5. The Colts be cautious with his workload, but Richardson wants to get started.
Huddle Up: Richardson has been making steady progress with his throwing program and should be ready to go whenever the Colts deem him fit. He's a QB1 with high upside if he can stay healthy.
