Detroit Lions RBs Craig Reynolds and Sione Vaki are expected to have expanded roles as the backups to Jahmyr Gibbs in the wake of David Montgomery's season-ending knee injury.
Huddle Up: The major question in Detroit's backfield right now is if Gibbs will be allowed to handle a slightly heavier workload or if he will become a true featured back. Considering the Lions lost their one-game cushion on the rest of the NFC last week, the smart money would be on the latter. Gibbs should handle at least 20 touches per game from here on out and be considered an easy top-five player at his position for the rest of the season.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed eight times for 31 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 83 yards and a score in a 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.
Huddle Up: With the Lions trailing early, Gibbs saw more action than David Montgomery thanks to his prowess in the passing game. Expect the tpyical split between the two backs going forward.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs ran the ball 15 times for 43 yards against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Dec. 5. He added six receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Huddle Up: Little came easy for Gibbs on Thursday night as he set season lows in total yards (73) and yards per carry (2.9), but he ran a sharp route on fourth and goal to catch a touchdown pass, giving him a dozen combined scores on the season. The extra rest should do him good before Detroit's Week 15 matchup with Buffalo where Gibbs will once again rate as an RB1.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 87 yards on nine carries and caught two of his four targets for 17 yards in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears. Gibbs also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: Gibbs surprisingly took a backseat to David Montgomery in this one (11 touches to Montgomery's 24), although that could have been a result of the coaching staff punishing him a bit for the fumble. Nevertheless, Gibbs ripped off chunk gain after chunk gain when he was on the field, so his low usage was not the result of being ineffective. Expect Gibbs' usage to spike in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers and consider him a high-upside RB1 for that matchup.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. He also caught three passes for nine yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Gibbs continued his terrific play this week and could receive most of the work at running back next week depending on David Montgomery's availability. He is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. He also caught one pass for 54 yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Gibbs is a big part of the offense for the Lions and has rushed for a touchdown in four of the last five games. He will continue to see plenty of touches and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs ran the ball 19 times for 71 yards against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Nov. 10. He added two receptions (on three targets) for 37 yards.
Huddle Up: Back indoors after traveling to Green Bay the week before, Gibbs topped 100 yards of total offense for the third time in his last four games. His touchdown streak came to an end at three games, however, and his 3.7 yards per carry were his lowest since the opener against the Rams (3.6). He remains a must-start RB1.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed 11 times for 65 yards and a touchdown and caught an 11-yard pass in a 24-14 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 9.
Huddle Up: Gibbs continues to thrive despite sharing carries with David Montgomery. However, it would be nice to see him more involved in the passing game. After logging 11 receptions over the first two games, Gibbs has just nine catches in the last six contests.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries against the Tennessee Titans in Week 8.
Huddle Up: Gibbs has posted back-to-back 100-yard games and has five rushing touchdowns in his last four games. He will continue to see a good amount of touches on offense and is a weekly starting option in all leagues.

Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7. He also caught four passes for 44 yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Gibbs shares playing time with David Montgomery but still sees plenty of touches during game. He should see a similar workload next week and should be a starting option in all leagues.
