Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta was limited to just two receptions for 13 yards on three targets in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: Well, that's not what fantasy managers expect out of the guy who is expected to be one of the top two tight ends in the league. He'll look to get back on track in Week 3 on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. He remains an obvious must-start whenever he is active.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta logged four catches on five targets for 45 yards in Week 1 versus the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: The Lions did not string together any long drives for most of the season half, so their play volume was lacking a bit. With that said, the Rams clearly had a plan to limit the impact of Amon-Ra St. Brown and LaPorta, which contributed to Jameson Williams having a career day. Just like St. Brown, LaPorta remains an elite option at his position and should be kept in lineups for Week 2 when the Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (hamstring) is on track to play in the Week 1 game, according to head coach Dan Campbell.
Huddle Up: LaPorta could be limited early in the week but should not have any limitations during the Week 1 game. He will be a big part of the passing game for the Lions and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (hamstring) did not practice once again on Monday, Aug. 12.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (toe) did not practice due to a toe injury Monday, Aug. 5.
Huddle Up: Given that Monday's practice was a joint session with the New York Giants, the Lions may just be playing it safe with the star tight end. Unless this becomes an issue, view LaPorta as an elite TE1.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 26, and is not on the injury report for the NFC Championship game.
Huddle Up: LaPorta has been on the injury report for the last few weeks because of the injury but should not have any limitations against the San Francisco 49ers. He is a big part of the passing game for the Lions and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
