Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught seven of his 10 targets for 111 yards in a 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.
Huddle Up: LaPorta topped 100 yards for the first time this season, and while he still has TE1 potential most weeks, Detroit's potent running game has caused his stats to fall off a bit overall.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught five passes (on seven targets) for 54 yards in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: After managing a grand total of 25 yards over the past two games combined, LaPorta tallied 54 yards on Thursday. The second-year tight end hasn't had anywhere near the impact in 2024 as he did last year with this being just his second game of the year with more than four catches. He's always dangerous, but he should be viewed as a low-end TE1 at this stage.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught three of his six targets for six yards and two touchdowns in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.
Huddle Up: It was one of those fantasy days where a manager rejoices that a player scored twice and still wants to pull his/her hair out. LaPorta scored from 3 yards out early in the second quarter and from a yard out late in the third. With no more than three catches in four straight and no more than 66 yards receiving in a game all season, fantasy managers will have to hope for the best in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers defense that held LaPorta to two catches and 28 scoreless yards in Week 9.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught three passes for 19 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: LaPorta returned to the lineup this week but was held to one of his lowest receiving yard totals of the season. He has been targeted at least six times in three of his last four games and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.
Huddle Up: LaPorta will be returning to the lineup after a one-game absence and should see a decent amount of targets in the passing game. He has posted at least 50 yards in only three games this season but can still be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (hamstring) did not practice on Friday, Nov. 22, and has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts. CB Terrion Arnold (groin) and CB Emmanuel Moseley (pectoral) practiced in full on Friday, Nov. 22, but are listed as questionable. CB Carlton Davis (thumb), TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) and TE Shane Zylstra (neck) practiced in full all week and no longer appear on the injury report.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.
Huddle Up: LaPorta is on track to return to the lineup after a one-game absence and should have a good role in the passing game. He can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues if he is cleared to play.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20. The Lions did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: LaPorta did not play last week but seems to be on track to return to the lineup in Week 12. He will see a decent amount of targets if he is able to play and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) is "questionable to above" and is trending in the right direction to play in Week 12, head coach Dan Campbell said on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Huddle Up: After having his best game of the season in Week 10, LaPorta wasn't able to suit up in Week 11 because of his shoulder injury. Initially diagnosed as day-to-day, LaPorta clearly has a great chance to return this week. He'll be a TE1 if he does.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (shoulder) did not practice for the third straight day on Friday, Nov. 15, and was ruled out for Week 11.
Huddle Up: Lions head coach Dan Campbell said LaPorta was day-to-day earlier in the week, so his injury isn't serious. With LaPorta sidelined, Brock Wright will be the biggest beneficiary, but he is not a viable lineup option.
