Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught six of his eight targets for 97 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9.
Huddle Up: LaPorta has been hitting his stride in recent weeks, topping 50 yards and scoring a touchdown in three of of the last four games. LaPorta has topped 90 yards twice in that span, and he looks like the No. 2 option in the Detroit passing attack and a TE1 in all formats.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta ended up with just three receptions for a season-low 15 yards on three targets in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: LaPorta has managed at least three receptions in all seven of his games, which is good news, but he saw his modest two-game touchdown streak snapped. He remains a No. 1 fantasy option despite the stinker, but you'll need to make alternate plans in Week 8 with Detroit on its bye.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught five passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in a 30-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.
Huddle Up: Prior to the last two weeks, LaPorta had been relatively quiet since the opener. However, he has now logged five receptions and a touchdown in each of the last two games, topping 50 yards in both contests. He offers TE1 upside on a weekly basis.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught five of his six targets for a season-high 92 yards and a touchdown in a 37-24 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
Huddle Up: LaPorta had been relatively quiet since the season opener, but he had his best game of the season to date in Week 5. There is no doubt that LaPorta has TE1 upside, but until he starts stringing together some consistent performances, he will be one of the riskier TE1 options.
