Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice caught seven passes for a team-leading 103 yards in Week 1 versus the Baltimore Ravens. He was targeted nine times.
Huddle Up: The NFL chose not to put Rice on the Commissioner's Exempt list or hand down a suspension, so the second-year wideout functioned as Patrick Mahomes' top target on Thursday night. He fell down draft boards because the assumption was he'd be suspended. Now, it's impossible to say when or if he'll be suspended this season. At this point, however, it doesn't matter. If he's on your team, he belongs in your lineup.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is eligible to play the entire season and is not expected to be placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List amid the NFL's investigation into felony charges from the offseason, according to sources Thursday, Aug. 29.
Huddle Up: Rice's average draft position has been discounted because of the uncertainty, but he has high-end WR2 upside as one of the top targets for Patrick Mahomes. Managers may want to have some cautious optimism, but Rice should be a target in the middle rounds as long as he avoids suspension.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice remains in limbo in regards to a potential suspension as of Tuesday, July 16. When asked by reporters for the timing or length of a potential suspension, head coach Andy Reid stated that he had not "hurt anything up to this point."
Huddle Up: It seems like it is only a matter of time before the league hands Rice a multi-game suspension of somewhere between four and eight games. Until then, fantasy managers should prepare for the worst and hope he only misses part of September. As such, it will be difficult to draft him as anything more than a high-upside WR4 this summer.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice could be facing a "multi-game" suspension, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, who said it "doesn't look like [Rice] is going to be part of that start of the season," adding that the team is "bracing" for the wideout to miss multiple games.
Huddle Up: Considering that Rice is facing felony charges, the possibility of a multi-game suspension seems very likely. Once we know the length, his value can be adjusted accordingly. For now, he's looking like a quality No. 3 fantasy receiver.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice was allegedly involved in an assault at a Dallas nightclub on May 6, but Dallas police shared news on Tuesday, May 21, that the injured person does not want to press charges and has signed an affidavit of non-prosecution.
Huddle Up: It has been an offseason to forget for Rice, who was also arrested last month for his involvement in a March 30 six-car crash in Dallas that left at least seven people injured. Rice is not out of the woods yet on the assault charge since the investigation is ongoing - per the Dallas PD - but this news should help his cause. While it still seems likely he will be suspended for his involvement in the crash, it would appear it won't be a lengthy one.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is present at OTAs and will participate in all activities despite legal issues stemming from the offseason, according to sources Monday, May 20.
Huddle Up: It isn't clear what kind of impact the legal issues will have on Rice's availability during the season. If he's suspended only a few games, Rice can still be viewed as a WR2 in fantasy. But managers may want to wait and see what happens before completely buying in for 2024.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice surrendered to Glenn Heights Police in Dallas and posted $40,000 bond Thursday, April 11. Rice faces eight charges in the case - six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault, according to the warrant. All of the charges are felonies.
Huddle Up: Rice had a productive rookie season with a 79-938-7 line and now has this cloud hovering over his sophomore campaign. He will slip in fantasy drafts but will likely remain in the WR3 discussion despite the possibility of missing games.
