Updating a previous report, New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (hand) did not participate in participate in practice Friday, Jan. 3, and has been ruled out for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Spencer Rattler will be receiving another start this season and could be a possible option for the starting job next season. He has not posted great numbers this season and can be avoided in fantasy leagues this week.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (hand) and RB Kendre Miller (concussion) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 18 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. RB Alvin Kamara (groin) also did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. DE Payton Turner (ankle), TE Juwan Johnson (knee) and LB Willie Gay (shoulder) were limited in practice on Friday, Jan. 3, and are listed as questionable. LB Pete Werner (concussion), WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (chest) and WR Chris Olave (head) practiced in full on Friday but are also listed as questionable.

Huddle Up: With nothing to play for, expect the Saints to rule out all three shortly. Spencer Rattler appears the most likely to start at quarterback, while Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims figure to share the load at running back. No one on this offense - outside of maybe tight ends Foster Moreau and Juwan Johnson - should be in lineups this week.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (hand) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 2.
Huddle Up: It seems like Carr will not be available for the final game of the season, so Spencer Rattler likely will be under center for the Saints. Rattler has thrown two touchdowns and three interceptions since Carr left the lineup and can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: Carr was expected to participate in a simulated game this week, but it seems like he has not made enough progress to play. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but should not count on him playing.

New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (hand) is expected to participate in a simulated game this week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 18, according to interim head coach Darren Rizzi.
Huddle Up: Carr has not played since early December because of his hand injury but may have a chance to play in the finale depending on how he feels during the simulated game. He is not a starting option in standard leagues but could be a possible option in two-quarterback leagues.

Also, CB Rico Payton (illness) did not practice but is questionable, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (chest) was limited and is questionable, WR Chris Olave (head) and DT Nathan Shepherd (eye) were full participants but are questionable and TE Juwan Johnson (foot) and DE Payton Turner (ankle) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.
