Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 19-of-32 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with the Cowboys Sunday, Sept. 8, worth $240 million. The deal includes $231 million in guaranteed money.
Huddle Up: Prescott will be the Cowboys quarterback for the foreseeable future and will look to have another productive season in 2024. He likely will be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback most weeks.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has been having contract extension talks with the Cowboys, and executive vice president Stephen Jones said he hopes that Prescott and the Cowboys could come to an agreement in the new few days.
Huddle Up: It seems like Prescott and the Cowboys have talking about an extension for a while, so fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation to see if any agreement is reached in the near future. He is coming off a terrific 2023 season and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) said he expects to be on the field when the team resumes practice on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (ankle) is being held out of practice Friday, Aug. 9, because of ankle soreness, but the team said it is precautionary.
Huddle Up: Prescott probably will not see much playing time during the preseason, so he will have plenty of time to recover from the injury. He should be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott threw nine touchdown passes during 7-on-7 and team drills at practice Wednesday, July 31, and he has yet to throw an interception through two padded sessions.
Huddle Up: While there has been plenty of talk about whether Prescott is worthy of a big contract extension, there is no denying his ability to put up quality numbers. He should be a reliable QB1 again this season.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is entering the final year of his contract, but team owner Jerry Jones emphasized to reporters on Thursday, July 25, that he does not believe 2024 will be Prescott's final season with the team.
Huddle Up: The Cowboys are in bad shape in terms of trying to keep their core together, as CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons each believe they deserve the highest non-quarterback contracts in the league. Meanwhile, Prescott has the leverage to push for the biggest contract in NFL history. It seems reasonable to believe Prescott's contract extension will be completed within the next month. Either way, Prescott is a strong QB1 option in fantasy, as long as Lamb eventually reports.

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to prioritize negotiations with WR CeeDee Lamb on a contract extension over talks with QB Dak Prescott on a long-term deal because of Lamb's intentions to hold out from training camp. Prescott is expected to participate in the team's first practice session Thursday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Lamb is slated to earn $17.99 million on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract and is eligible to receive the franchise tag in 2025 but wants to be paid like one of the league's top receivers right now. He led the league in catches (135) and established a single-season franchise record for receiving yards (1,749) in 2023 and should be a must-start option in all fantasy leagues, since he is unlikely to miss any regular-season games due to his contract situation.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott recently revealed that he and his agent have had "some conversations" with the team regarding a new contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: There is hope after all. Then again, having conversations doesn't mean "agreeing to terms" is coming anytime soon. Prescott holds the leverage in contract talks and could be in line for around $58 to $60 million per season if he wants to take advantage of his position. If anything is going to happen, it will almost certainly come in the next two weeks and before the Cowboys report to training camp.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (foot) said there is absolutely nothing wrong with his ankle.
Huddle Up: Prescott was seen in a walking boot, but he has since removed it. He was the QB3 in fantasy last year and will be a top-five option again this year.
