Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) has been declared inactive for the Week 18 game.
Huddle Up: Tyler Huntley will be the starter for the Dolphins this week and is coming off a decent Week 17 performance. He could be a possible option in some two-quarterback leagues but should be avoided in standard leagues.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is not expected to play in Week 18's game versus the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. His hip injury is affecting the surrounding muscles and impacting his strength and mobility, in addition to making him vulnerable to further injury, according to sources.
Huddle Up: QB Tyler Huntley is expected to receive the starting nod for the second consecutive game in a must-win situation for the Dolphins, who are still mathematically alive for a playoff berth. Despite the significance of the game, fantasy owners should look for other options to use in their lineups besides Huntley. Even if Miami earns a ticket to the postseason, there is no guarantee that Tagovailoa would receive medical clearance to play in time for a potential first-round game.

Miami Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley is preparing to start in Week 18, but QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is expected to practice on a limited basis, head coach Mike McDaniel said on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: This leaves the door slightly ajar for Tagovailoa to suit up, but he looks more likely to sit than not. Huntley starting will be a significant downgrade for all Dolphins pass-catchers and he isn't a suggested lineup option.

Miami Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley will get more reps during practice this week as Tua Tagovailoa (hip) continues to battle an injury, head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday, Dec. 30. It's unclear who will be the starter for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Huntley was surprisingly productive in his Week 17 spot start, totaling 24.2 fantasy points while throwing for 225 yards and one touchdown while adding 52 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He's a dart-throw QB2 option against the New York Jets in Week 18.
