Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba hauled in six of his seven targets for 69 yards in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.
Huddle Up: While his absence was not the sole reason for the Seahawks' struggles, the Seahawks missed DK Metcalf (knee) in this one. Although Smith-Njigba was occasionally able to break free of the Bills' zone coverage, Buffalo mostly kept him contained and shut down just about everything else Seattle tried to do. JSN should be considered little more than a middling flex play in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught three passes for three passes for nine yards on six targets against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. He also completed a 35-yard pass during the game.
Huddle Up: Smith-Njigba was not able to find much success against the Falcons but has been targeted at least six times in each of the last four games. He should have more success next week and can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught five passes for 53 yards in a Week 6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He was targeted nine times.
Huddle Up: Through six games, JSN has produced one 100-yard effort and finished between 30 and 55 yards four times. He's yet to look like any kind of big-play threat, averaging 9.1 yards per catch, and hasn't created any daylight between himself and Tyler Lockett in terms of production. Smith-Njigba is a borderline WR4/WR5 right now.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted four receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 5 against the New York Giants.
Huddle Up: It was Smith-Njigba's first touchdown of the season. He has three or more catches in four of his five games, making him a decent low-end WR3 or top WR4 in PPR fantasy leagues. The Seahawks are back in action in Week 6 on Thursday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted a game-high eight receptions while tying a game best with 12 targets in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, but he still finished with just 51 receiving yards.
Huddle Up: JSN has posted 20 receptions for 168 yards in two games on the road, while going for just five catches and 58 yards in two home outings. He is back home against the New York Giants in Week 5, so treat him as more of a WR3 or flex play in most fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught all three of his targets for 19 yards in a 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 3.
Huddle Up: On the heels of a 12-catch performance in Week 2, Smith-Njigba was the third receiver in the pecking order against Miami. Smith-Njigba has flashed his talent, but as long as DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are also in the mix, he too risky to trust as a starter.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted a game-high 12 receptions for 117 yards on 16 targets in Week 2 against the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Both JSN and DK Metcalf went over 100 receiving yards in the overtime win on the road, jelling nicely with QB Geno Smith. Smith-Njigba was drafted as a WR3 in most fantasy leagues, as he has not disappointed. Continue to treat him as a WR3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba finished with two catches for 19 yards in a 26-20 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 1.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba led all qualified receivers with a 10.8% drop rate last season, according to Pro Football Reference.
Huddle Up: The number is alarming, but some context is required here. Some of the issues could have stemmed from how long his preseason wrist injury bothered him and the time it took for him to build some chemistry with Geno Smith after that as a result. Smith-Njigba's hands were not a problem at Ohio State, as he managed a much more tolerable 5.9% drop rate during his 2021 breakout with the Buckeyes. After a disappointing rookie campaign, Smith-Njigba should be considered a decent WR3 option with upside in a new offense this summer.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba is "definitely going to be a massive piece" of the offense this season, according to head coach Mike Macdonald.
Huddle Up: Smith-Njigba had an uneven rookie season, but he did finish with 63 receptions. While Seattle still had a crowded receiving room, Smith-Njigba's role should only grow moving forward. Consider him a fringe WR3, but he could quickly jump into WR2 territory if DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett miss time.
