Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson is unlikely to join the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a league source.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields is reportedly more likely to return to the team than Russell WIlson, according to sources via NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: Fields was famously replaced by Wilson after going 4-2 this season. As NFL Network's Mike Garafolo stated on "The Insiders," there was some thought that Pittsburgh scaled back the offense to keep the pressure off Fields since the intention all along was to have Wilson start in 2024. Fields is more than 10 years younger than Wilson, who did not make much of a case to retain the starting job with a poor finish to the season. Fields' dual-threat ability will give him theoretical QB1 upside for as long as he remains one of the best athletes on the field, but Pittsburgh needs to add some more weapons in order for that to happen.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields appears to be the more likely candidate for the Steelers to re-sign this offseason than impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: The Steelers have indicated they would like to sign either Fields or Wilson, but it seems like Fields has more momentum at this point. Fantasy players should monitor the situation over the next few weeks, but neither quarterback will likely be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback at this point.

Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Sam Darnold, Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson and New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, who will be released at some point this spring, will be among the New York Giants' top options at quarterback in free agency, according to ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.
Huddle Up: Once the Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford agreed to terms on a restructured contract on Friday, it slammed the door on the Giants upgrading the quarterback position in a big way. Interestingly, Raanan reported that the Giants had interest in Darnold last season before deciding he was too expensive as a backup to then-starter Daniel Jones. Fields is reportedly much more interested in the Jets than the Giants and Wilson has ties to new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll, so the G-Men could be in a spot where they must decide on Darnold or using the No. 3 overall pick on a quarterback.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending quarterback QB Russell Wilson, Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields and Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Sam Darnold are expected to receive interest from the Las Vegas Raiders during free agency, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Raiders had interest in Matthew Stafford but will now have to consider one of the free-agent quarterbacks to sign this offseason. The Raiders have some good pass catchers on the roster, but whoever is the starting quarterback probably will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2025.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson is expected to be an option for the New York Giants if he hits the free-agent market, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: Wilson met with the Giants last offseason but decided to sign with the Steelers, so they make have another chance to sign Wilson. He posted solid numbers with the Steelers but would not be more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback if he joins the Giants.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson said he is focusing on staying with the Steelers and is not looking at other teams.
Huddle Up: The Steelers are looking to keep one of their quarterbacks, but it is not known if it will be Wilson or Justin Fields. Wilson likely will be the starting quarterback for a team next season but will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson and QB Justin Fields will both be free agents this offseason, but team president Art Rooney II said he hopes the team will be able to re-sign one of the quarterbacks. Rooney said the team probably will not be able to sign both quarterbacks.
Huddle Up: Both Wilson and Fields had some success as the starting quarterback for the Steelers, but neither quarterback became the obvious starting option for next season. Fantasy players can monitor the situation during the offseason, but neither quarterback is more than a No. 2 fantasy quarterback.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson said that contract extension discussions with the team have already gotten underway, during an appearance on ESPN's "Pat McAfee Show" Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Huddle Up: Regardless of where Wilson lands this offseason, the 36-year-old veteran should be viewed as no better than a midrange QB2 option for 2025 fantasy leagues.

Impending free-agent QB Russell Wilson (Steelers) might be of interest as a stop-gap quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a source. Per the source, Wilson and new head coach Pete Carroll have "mended fences" from their time together with the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: While Wilson is clearly on the back nine of his career, he would likely give the franchise its best option at quarterback since at least Derek Carr while also buying the team some time to land a blue-chip prospect. The Raiders may still have their work cut out for them despite Carroll's familiarity with Wilson as the quarterback has gushed about his respect for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. Wilson would be no better than a middling fantasy QB2 at either place.
