Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 16, and is not on the injury report for the Divisional Round playoff game.
Huddle Up: Montgomery will be involved in the offense against the Washington Commanders, but his workload is uncertain at this point. He was playing well before the injury and should be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Huddle Up: Montgomery is on track to return to the lineup, but it is not known if he will receive his normal workload right away. He should still see a decent amount of touches during the game and can be at least a flex option in leagues.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (knee) was a full participant at practice Tuesday, Jan. 14. The Lions conducted a walkthrough Tuesday so his participation level is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Montgomery surprisingly is on track to make his return after missing a few weeks due to an MCL sprain. How much his workload is impacted due to the quick turnaround is unclear, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Montgomery saw something close to his typical role alongside Jahmyr Gibbs.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (knee) is expected to have a role during the team's first playoff game in the NFC Divisional Round as he makes a return from an MCL sprain, head coach Dan Campbell said Monday, Jan. 13.
Huddle Up: How much of a workload Montgomery will see immediately coming off the knee injury will be interesting. Jahmyr Gibbs has been on fire during Montgomery's absence, but the Lions probably want to take some of the load off the young running back. If Montgomery is fully back, he's a solid DFS play for managers to consider.

Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (knee) is expected to recover from the medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee in time to play in the team's first playoff game - the NFC Divisional Round - according to comments made by head coach Dan Campbell on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Huddle Up: The Lions' offense should be in good shape regardless of whether Montgomery is able to play, although it is undeniable that he is one of the best power runners in the league. The bigger question is if Montgomery will be fully recovered just over a month after suffering the injury. If not, he could play more of a complementary role to Jahmyr Gibbs, who once again proved he is more than capable of being a featured back during Montgomery's absence.
