Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen is finalizing a revised deal to return to the team, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Thielen has shown a solid connection with Bryce Young, and with Young showing signs of progress in the second half of last season, the veteran receiver could continue to produce. Thielen has a shot at WR3 production.

Free-agent RB Rico Dowdle (Cowboys) reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $2.75 million - and a maximum of $6.25 million - with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday, March 12.
Huddle Up: Dowdle did yeoman's work last season in what was a bad Dallas offense, even topping 1,000 yards rushing. It is surprising the Cowboys showed no interest in bringing him back. It was also mildly surprising he did not have a better market than he did, although the depth at the running back position in the upcoming draft might have had something to do with it. Either way, fantasy managers should expect Dowdle to handle roughly seven or eight touches per game behind Chuba Hubbard in the role that Jonathon Brooks was operating in before suffering a second ACL tear in as many years late in the season.

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent RB Rico Dowdle will not be returning to the Cowboys since the team has reached an agreement with impending free-agent RB Javonte Williams (Broncos), according to a source.
Huddle Up: Dowdle rushed for 1,079 yards this past season, so he should receive interest from a few teams and likely will receive a solid role with his new team. He probably can be at least a No. 3 running back in most leagues depending on his role.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young threw 11 touchdowns compared to three interceptions and ran for five scores after the team's Week 11 bye.
Huddle Up: While Young's numbers weren't elite, they were certainly a step in the right direction. Prior to the bye, Young had three touchdown passes and six picks and was benched for a stretch. Given his progress late in the year, Young could be a viable QB2 in 2025.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (foot) may not be able to participate in offseason workouts because of his offseason foot surgery, according to head coach Dave Canales.
Huddle Up: Legette played well at times during his rookie season but should be more involved in the passing game next season. He should see a decent amount of targets in 2025 and could be a late round pick in fantasy drafts.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (foot) underwent foot surgery after the team's season ended after he dealt with foot discomfort during the season.
Huddle Up: Legette also dealt with a wrist injury as a rookie, but doctors recommended rest opposed to surgery. The 2024 first-round pick flashed on occasion in 2024, but he failed to top five catches or 56 yards in any game after Week 4. For now, it appears he may be no more than a third receiver to begin the 2025 season behind Adam Thielen and Jalen Coker - and that assumes Carolina doesn't add a blue-chip receiver in the NFL Draft.

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) remains without a timeline as he rehabs and recovers from the second anterior cruciate ligament tear he has suffered in as many years, according to general manager Dan Morgan.
Huddle Up: Brooks' immediate future - certainly in terms of the 2025 season - appears to be cloudy at best. Not only is he facing long odds of returning to his pre-ACL form after tearing it twice, but the Panthers also extended Chuba Hubbard during the season. It seems unlikely Brooks will have any chance to be the featured back in Carolina anytime soon - even if he can play at some point during the upcoming season.

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent RB Rico Dowdle is a player the Cowboys are interested in re-signing this offseason, according to chief operating officer Stephen Jones.
Huddle Up: Dowdle took over as the starting running back this season and finished with 1,079 rushing yards. He probably will start for whichever team he plays for next season and can be at least a flex option most weeks.

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen is expected to return to the Panthers next season and could be a candidate for the contract this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Huddle Up: Thielen was limited to 10 games this season but was still one of the better receivers for the Panthers in 2024. He should see a decent amount of targets next season and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen has yet to make a concrete decision about his playing future, but he told The Daily Mail on Friday, Jan. 31, that "I have some more football in me."
Huddle Up: While there is no question Thielen is near the end of his long NFL career, the 34-year-old (35 in August) remains a quality starting receiver in the league. From Carolina's perspective, this is great news. Thielen will have another year to tutor some of the young wideouts the Panthers added last offseason - such as Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. Assuming Thielen does return, he should be considered a quality WR4 option in early fantasy drafts.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette had eight drops during his rookie season.
Huddle Up: Legette struggled with efficiency in general as a rookie, logging 49 catches on 84 targets. His 10.1 yards per catch also left a lot to be desired. The good news is that unless Carolina adds weapons in the offseason, Legette should have a solid role in the offense again in 2025. Target him as a WR4 next year and hope he makes a leap.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle ended up with 22 rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders, while adding two receptions for 12 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Dowdle emerged as a respectable starting tailback for the Cowboys, although it remains to be seen if the organization sees him as a starter in 2025. The team could potentially look for an upgrade at the position. If he enters as the starter in 2025, he could be a solid low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Carolina Panthers WR David Moore ended up with a 9-yard touchdown on his only reception on three targets in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Moore ended up with 32 receptions for 351 yards and three touchdowns on 57 targets. He showed some signs of life, especially in the second half, but he is only worth fantasy consideration in deeper leagues heading into 2025.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette posted three receptions for 30 yards on five targets in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Legette finished his rookie campaign with 49 receptions for 497 yards and four touchdowns on 84 targets. He improved as the season went along, jelling nicely with QB Bryce Young. The first-round pick in 2024 has a bright future in Charlotte. He could be a solid WR4 or flex fantasy option with upside heading into 2025.

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen ended up with five receptions for 44 yards on six targets in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: The 34-year-old receiver was limited to 10 games due to a hamstring injury, but he still managed 48 receptions for 615 yards and five scores on 62 targets, posting five or more receptions in each of his final six outings. Thielen still has a little something in the tank, and he could remain a solid WR3 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues in 2025.

Carolina Panthers WR Jalen Coker absorbed all seven of his targets for 62 yards in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons, and he also completed a pass for 19 yards.
Huddle Up: The rookie out of Holy Cross ended up with 32 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns on 46 targets. He started to jell rather nicely with QB Bryce Young down the stretch, and he could have some fantasy appeal as a WR4 or WR5 heading into 2025 barring any personnel additions in Charlotte.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young completed 25-of-34 passes for 251 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons, while running five times for 24 yards and two touchdowns.
Huddle Up: Young posted a career high with five total touchdowns. There were some whispers, heck, loud pronouncements, that Young was a bust, and the Panthers made a mistake trading up with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall pick in 2023. However, Young saw an uptick in passing touchdowns (15), while running for six more scores in 14 games. He is still more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into 2025, but the upside is back.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) is active for Week 18's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Legette had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging one full practice session and two limited sessions during the week. He has not been very productive in recent weeks, so he cannot be trusted as anything more than a WR4 or WR5 option at this point.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) was a limited participant at practice Friday, Jan. 3, and is listed as questionable on the Week 18 injury report.
Huddle Up: Legette drew nine targets last week but produced only 28 yards. He hasn't reached double-digit PPR points since Week 9 so it's difficult for managers to trust him as anything more than a WR4/5 option.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 2.
Huddle Up: Legette was able to return to the lineup last week and was targeted nine times during the game but only finished with 28 yards. He will see a handful of targets if he plays in Week 18 and could be a possible flex option in some deeper leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) practiced in full on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Huddle Up: Legette hasn't scored since Week 9 and his yardage totals have not been enough to overcome that for his fantasy production. He remains off the starting radar in Week 18.

Carolina Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard (calf) will not need to undergo surgery on his injured calf this offseason, according to head coach Dave Canales.
Huddle Up: Hubbard likely will be able to participate in some of the offseason workout and likely will enter training camp as the starter after receiving recently receiving an extension. He played very well this season and can be a No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues next season.

Carolina Panthers TE Ja'Tavion Sanders caught one pass for five yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He was targeted one time during the game.
Huddle Up: Sanders had a solid role in the passing game earlier in the season but has only been targeted three times over the last four games. He can be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette caught five passes for 28 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He was targeted nine times during the game.
Huddle Up: Legette was a popular target for Bryce Young this week, but the connection did not have much success in terms of yards. He has been targeted at least eight times in three of the last four games and can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Jalen Coker caught two passes for 35 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He was targeted two times during the game.
Huddle Up: Coker has received a good amount of targets over the last several weeks but only saw two targets this week. He should see a bigger workload in Week 18 and can be a possible flex option in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: Thielen has been a reliable option in the passing game since returning from injury and posted his second 100-yard game of the season against Tampa Bay. He has caught three touchdowns over the last two games and should be a starting option in all leagues next week.

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Boone rushed for 11 yards on two carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He was targeted two times in the passing game during the game but finished with zero receptions.
Huddle Up: Boone was expected to have a decent role with Chuba Hubbard out for the season but only received two carries in the running game. He probably will be more involved next week but can be avoided in most leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Raheem Blackshear rushed for 20 yards on eight carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Blackshear received most of the carries during the game but was not able to find much success against the Buccaneers. He probably will share playing time with Mike Boone again next week and could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young went 15-for-28 for 203 yards and two touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. He also rushed for eight yards on two carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Young has played well since returning to the starting lineup and has thrown at least two touchdowns in each of the last two games. He could be a possible starting option in two-quarterback leagues next week.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip, wrist) is active for Week 17's game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
